KATARINAS FAVORIT

Bottle shared at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks omhper for this bottle! Black with a small light brown head. Lovely roasty aroma with coffee, dark chocolate and a bit of cocoa. Bittersweet roasty flavor with dark chocolate, coffee and a burnt bitter finish. Full-bodied. Really good stuff.

Bottle, courtesy of omhper, many thanks for this one. Pours black color, HUGE dark beige head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, citrusy, roasted malt, some alcohol. Taste is sweet, medium bitter, coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla. Very nice bittersweet coffee finish.

Det här blev lite av en besvikelse, smaken bar toner av choklad, kaffe och bär. Kroppen var stabil men balansen var inte okej, inte alls.

Sunday Stout Series. 33 cl bottle. Pours deep dark with small, creamy head. Roasted coffee beans, chocolate, cream and dark berries in aroma and taste. Well balanced with long bitter finish. The relatively "low" ABV for an Imp Stout is impressing, because the brew lacks nothing in any areas! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle shared with GT2, thanks Alex for this one. An upgraded version of Guinness in a way creates a foreign stout type character- salty, Vegemite, lighter body, high carbonaton, high roast and smoke. Abv and body make it hard to appreciate as RIS. Dont’ get an dairy, milky character. Nose has coffee, licorice. Taste is tootsie roll, mild ash, bitter coffee. But this is not a complicated beer- very simple roasty oatmeal stout or foreign stout. I dig it.

> A smokey, milky, coffee style lighter bodied RIS

[ Bottle ][ _angst_ ][ 33cl ][ Trade ][ Pizza Boy Snifter ][ 4/23/14 ]
>> Pours clear sepia with a thick, rocky coffee crema head. Nose is mild smoke, light coffee, Marmite, subtle but complex. Taste is fairly simple, quite bitter, and clean in front palate with a body that is just below the richness for RIS in my opinion but abv is low for style. Back end is a bit milky for me, almost dairy milk stout. Palate is fizzy, aerated, very easy to drink.

>!< body is lower, milky character

Pours pitch black with a 3 finger head. Super ashy and charcoal with a touch of chocolate on the nose. Pretty pungent charcoal, bakers chocolate. thin mouthfeel. sort of yeasty and chimney soot. Not bad. bottle size is nice.
