Keg at Fox and Hounds, Syston, Leics. A pretty good lager. Nice balance of bready body and souring crispness. Drinkable. This rate is dedicated to Scott Lambert. "Arkwright jungle I call it".

F: white nice foam.
C: pale gold/straw.
A: very weak malt, grassy hops, metallic tones.
T: malt, a hints of honey, metallic, peppery bitterness, and dry herbal finish, but very thin body, more than average carbonation, easy euro pale lager as many others.

330ml can served in a small pint glass. Pours a clear pale yellow color forming a small white head with few lacings left. Smells exactly like a carlsberg. Pale grains and grassy hops. Metallic. Tastes like Carlsberg but less bitter. Pale grains. Light body. High carbonation. Plastic and grass in the aftertaste. Low drinkability. A long time that I don’t throw a beer in the drain. Disgusting.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
330 ml can. Pale gold, crystal clear, witn a nice, creamy and moderately persistent bright white head. Very subtle nose, not a lot going on: white bread, toasted malts, sligthly soapy hop notes, some grainy sweetness and corn/vegetables notes. Pretty light and watery, not the best mouthfeel but it goes down relatively smooth. Medium-low level of taste, and it’s just honey sweetness/astringency with just a hint of earthy and peppery bitterness. Neutral aftertaste, but not inoffensive or papery like in many cases. Average carbonatio, light body, slightly creamy texture. Drinkable overall, but there are better macro lagers out there.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Keg at the Queensberry Hotel, Dumfries. Lager yellow, plentiful carbonation, little whitish head. Clean, cereal-based, inoffensive smell. Taste is sweetish, pleasant enough but very far from exciting. A well-done macro lager, but a macro lager nonetheless...
