COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Formerly known as Poretti Premium or Poretti Chiara Originale.

Dry taste and golden appearance. Some slight maltiness but no distinctive taste. Quite pleasant on a warm summers night which is when I tried it. Thats about the best you can say.

Bottled (660ml), at Hotel Bellavista, Menaggio, Italy.
On a beautiful spring day in Italy and sitting on the picturesque lake Como, I could but enjoy this beer. I was very thirsty but this beer was just the ticket. Golden larger colour with a generous and well services white head. Decent malt larger aroma. Good bitter finish and served really cold. To hell with objectivity this was the right beer at the right time.

Appetising sweet hop aroma. Clean, crisp and malty. A surprisingly dry finish leaning towards the Pilsener style. Fairly typical of the Italian beers I’ve sampled. Uncomplicated but tastily refreshing.

Lightly carbonated lager with little head. Vineous aroma and a quite malty/oatmeal flavour. A reasonable Italian lager.

Tap at The Angel, JDW. Clear yellow pour with a creamy, white head. Some cereal malts on the nose, faint straw. Light to medium sweet flavor, more cereal, slight vegetables, very mild bitterness. Light bodied with high carbonation. Finishes crisp with some cereal and dough, just a suggestion of hops. Very drinkable, though certainly not the best pale lage I’ve ever had.

On keg at Blender Bar, Milano - A rather ordinary start to the beers in this bar, similar faring as many other pale lagers, this one was a bit ricey, both in aroma and taste. Not as much tinniness in this though. Okay.

Fairly malty, pure and refreshing like German Helles style beers. Hopping is used only for enhancing the palate and drinkability of this beer. However, it should be noted that I drank this beer with pasta, which might have biased this rating.

NOt too great in flavour, is a lager, anyway. BUt it has an interesting foam, it never ends, no matter the time.

Bottle poured a clear gold with a small lingering white head. Aromas of bread, straw and light spicy hops. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, straw and light earthiness with a crisp dry finish.
