As expected great hops. Good malt base and sweetness. So drinkable. This one knocked me for a loop. Seemed stronger than 10% but I also had 4 pints before it. Medium bodied. Pours a hazy golden orange with a big creamy white head that shows good lacing and retention.
The aroma is very good on this with lots of citrus, especially oranges and grapefruits. There is a bready malt presence in the nose and a bit of malty sweetness as well.
The taste is a little more abrasively hoppy than the aroma with the pine resins really coming out more and the sticky hop oils lingering on the palate through the finish. The sweet caramel malts backbone is evident throughout and mix with the hops in the finish.
The mouthfeel is medium to full-bodied and very sticky with hop oils, leaving a lasting bitterness in the finish.
This is a solid DIPA that I wouldn’t put on par with Hop 15 or the 2nd Anniversary from Port, but any DIPA from those guys is something I’ll enjoy. Avengedpoet (325), Mesa, Arizona, USA

Golden color, citrusy aroma, nicely balanced bitterness. The hop flavor is smooth citrus. A well-blended choice of hop varieties. Alcohol is well-hidden. Good DIPA.
