COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Amigo Lager is a thirst-quenching Mexican lager traditionally served with a lime. A tribute to the beers of Mexico. Salut!

On tap at the brewery for the first time in quite awhile to my knowledge. Light golden color. Healthy white head. Thin on your palate. Fresh with some light citrus notes. Refreshing and a pretty good lager.

Draft... RBSG ‘08... Clear golden lager with a small, creamy, white head. Decent retention. The aroma is grainy, peppery and corny. Medium-bodied with lax carbonation. Very sweet and corny with only light bitterness. I just don’t have many good things to say about this one except...ummm... it’s beer?

Draft at the brewery. Golden color with white head. Light sugary grain / malt, earthy hops, and yeast / grass. Aroma matches the flavor. Decent beer; and above average for the style.

RBSG 2008. Aside from a flashback to that damn Amigo car commercials with that annoying song this wasn’t that bad. Pours gold, very clear, with a small white head. Balanced session lager, doughy in the malts, a touch grainy, earthy hops with a light spicy touch to them.

On tap @ Lost Abbey, RBSG. Clear copper-golden color, sparse white head. Clean, slight toasted grain and corn aroma. Smooth golden grain taste, slightly sweet on the back end. Decent.

On tap at Lost Abbey. Poured clear, healthy golden with a well-retained cap of sticky white head. The aroma found soft sourdough and lemony notes upfront with other pale malts and clover honey behind.. quite nice. The flavor had a pale malt and light honey core with spicy black pepper and tart lemon riding the edges.. just a touch too tart, which threw off the balance a little. Light-bodied and tart overall on the palate.. slightly sticky on the back-end, otherwise refreshing.

RB#5700: From tap at the brewery. Pours clear and golden orange with a lacing white head. Mild caramel malt aroma but rather vague. Light caramel flavour and clean brew. Mild bitterness into the finish. As told: a beer brewed for those visitors that don’t really like beer :)

UPDATED: DEC 29, 2008 On tap at RBSG at Lost Abbey. Pours a light copper color with a small off-white head. Aromas of lightly roasted barley and bready yeast. Tasted of malted grain and molasses. The mouthfeel was light and a bit astringent. Finish was short and dry. Overall: A very sessionable pale lager. Very tasty.

Pours a clear amber gold, with a small off white head. Smells of lively crisp grain, caramel malt, and a subtle hop presence. The flavor is of pretty malty characters, nothing too exciting, but decent for a pale lager. Pretty easy drinking, real smooth and fairly flavorful for the style. The grain isnt overpowering and there wasnt anything really offensive about it. Just simple is all.

On-tap at PPSC. Pours light yellow with a moderate white head, specks of lace. Smells crisp and malty, slightly sweet. Tastes crisp and clean malty with a bit of hay and some earthy hops. Thin, semi-dry body, vibrant carbonation.
