COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Amigo Lager is a thirst-quenching Mexican lager traditionally served with a lime. A tribute to the beers of Mexico. Salut!

Tap @ Carlsbad: Clear pale yellow. Sweet malt and corn in both the aroma and flavor. Clean on the finish. Drinkable. COuld be very good if you like the style.

On-tap at the brewpub: Nice clear pale gold yellow color with a smallish whitish cap of foam sticking around the top. Small bands of strings and some spotty lace stick as its consumed; and consumed quickly. Aroma is crisp and grainy like that of mushy Cheerio’s. Taste is absolutely wonderful for such a simple lager. Outstanding whole grain taste. Cereal crispness of Cheerio’s and Chex with a great wheat grain finish thats never, ever too tangy. It fits right in with a light toasted breadyness as a small dry hopping of a Czech pilsner style fades off the end with amazing grain taste. Feel is clean, crisp, and bold with a very fine creamy medium body that totally fits the flavors. A perfect beer for just a quick thirst quencher. Hits the spot without a doubt and drinkable without a doubt. Damn fine beer.

This brew pours with a very, very pale yellow body topped by a thick white head with lots of lacing. The aroma is slightly sweet, malty and grainy with grassy hop notes. The flavor is slightly sweet yet well balanced with bitterness, grainy and grassy. Light bodied, smooth yet dry.

Bright straw yellow color with mild yeasty aroma. Smallish quickly dissapating thin head. Mellow biscuit like yeasty taste with an initial sharp bite. Nice crisp finish. Nice for what it is.

A pretty scary name when you think about it. Classic light-yellow lager appearance and aroma. Fairly close in flavor to Corona, except with flavor! I could see myself enjoying this on a hot summer day...but it's still a fairly tame lager with hardly anything going on. A very good beer for people who aren't into flavorful beers.

San Clemente: Yikes! A "mexican lager"? That doesn't sound too promising. However, my concerns were dispelled upon sipping this pleasant lager that's full enough in flavor and is also lightly bittered, unlike its Mexican brethren. Gracias, amigos.

Clear yellow glow of brightness, with the littlest of heads. Smells like the air around it, as it smells like little if anything. Does not taste skunky, lime had the most taste, so for a mexican lager, all i can say is that it did little for me, yet it didn't skunk me out either.

Light gold color. Aroma is neutral. A mild “Mexican Lager”. Not much flavor. Mild malts and hops. Well balanced and smooth. But… It’s OK for a mild flavored beer. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is slight bitter.

Very middle of the road, picked a growler for the rest of my division while moored in Del Mar as something that was better than bud but would be drank by someone besides me. Fairly crisp, a bit lemony with biscuty malts.

perfect corona knockoff. light, crisp and drinkable (no skunky aroma at least) but extremely boring
