On tap at rock n brews LA. Hazy orange pour, white head that lasted a bit. Nice lacing. Big grafruit and pine aroma and slightly musty. Something sweet in the aroma too. Bitter resinous taste. Bitter doesnt overwhelme though. Very nice mouthfeel. This is an excellent DIPA. Would drink this frequently if it were available.

22 oz. bottle, consumed on 4-23-13. I purchased this beer approximately 9 months before I drank it. Refreshing, hoppy, floral, and quite appetizing aroma features pine, citrus, muffin, peach, and rose scents. Pours a bright, initially clear and effervescent, slightly orange-tinted gold with a moderate to large amount of thick, long-lasting, beige head. I drank this beer via multiple small pours, and the later pours were quite cloudy and opaque. Mellow, sweet, sharp, dry, floral, bready, and well balanced taste features lemon, citrus, tonic water, vanilla, caramel, grapefruit, and salt flavors with spice in the finish. Medium to heavy body. Thick, smooth, and silky in the excellent palate. Presumably there has been some dissipation in the hops, which probably weakened the aroma in particular. Nevertheless (or perhaps because of this – a mellowing of the hops could have improved the balance, which is a strong point for this beer), this is a very good, enjoyable, and sophisticated beer across the board. 8/4/8/5/16=>4.1

Bottle, 2nd Tuesday Tasting @ De Molen. Very clear copper colour, thin off-white head. Nose is sweet malted and light fruity, bit of candy. Flavour is sweet malty bit of toffee, subdued hoppiness, fairly bitter and fairly alcoholic. The finish has that candy again. Nice.

Bottle at the De Molen second Tuesday tasting, April 2013. Poured a cloudy reddish amber with a round glass hugging white head. The aroma is rich fruity and hoppy. The flavour is rich, alcoholic bitter, with some liquorice and spice. This is a great beer to taste, but not the kind of beer you should drink on our own!

Bottle @ 2nd tuesday tasting. Old bottle. Aroma is big caramel and bread, some oxidation and madeira. Flavour is oxidized caramel, some metal, quite some bitterness, bit too old imho.
