A massively hopped strong pale ale brewed to celebrate our anniversary each year. Anniversary Ale is light gold to pale orange in color and offers a potent aroma of fresh pine and citrus with some warming alcohols present. The taste is a thick, chewy hop presence only barely contained by balancing malts. The finish is pure hop expression with a moderate warming alcohol sensation. Hops – Columbus, Amarillo and Simcoe; dry-hopped with Columbus and Amarillo. Body – Medium.
Availability – Late Spring / Early Summer Release. Formerly 10.5%.

Hazy orange, frothy offwhite head. Fruity aroma, rubbery and malty notes. Flavour has complex hoppiness, caramel, jammy sweetness and alcohol. Creamy, solid mouthfeel. Lasting bitterness. Very nice.

Bottle @ Vinterslaget på Østersøen, Sønderborg. Pours cloudy amber with stable off-white head. Clear aroma of fruit, malt and hops, with some estery touches. Sweetish taste of malt, caramel, and fruit complemented by bitter, hoppy notes and maturation flavours. Slightly smoky and quite bitter aftertaste. Good. Very good. One of the best beers withing the style I have had.

Bottle, 10.0%. Yeasty and slightly spicy aroma, hint of vanilla. Cloudy, almost muddy orange colour. OK off-white head, very creamy. The flavour is nicely hoppy, quite bitter, but not overly so. Has a little vanilla and tobacco. Quite mellow carbonation and a good, solid mouthfeel. Good hop and alcohol burn.

Thx! 650 ml. bottle sampled @ “Nog-een-half-jaar-tot-de-volgende-EBT”. Hazy orange, little white head. Sweetish orange nose, light pine, orange peel. Taste is bitter orange peel, herbal, very bitter, too much for me, floral, touch malt, warming. Too much bitter orange peel for my taste.

Bottle at home, birthday present from sister & parents. Pours hazy orange-amber. Aroma of malt and pine, coffee, caramel, honey; subsequently some cat piss. Taste sweet, with pine needles, roasted nuts, grass; long lasting hop bitterness and sweetness.

Bomber. This is a butt-kicker. Thick and meaty, with a full-on assault of American hops, and viscous alcohol. Delicious. (#5886, 12/14/2014)

Very enjoyable. Hazy orange pour with a thick yellow hued head. Aroma is citrus and pineapple and pine. Taste adds a malt hint to the nose. Liked it.

From a bottle. Pours opaque amber with a thick, frothy beige head. Smells like biscuit and toasted malts, light caramel, citrus, light pineapple, and pine hops. Tastes smooth, like a nice balance of sweet, bready malts and fresh hops with some light citrus and toast. Medium body and carbonation.
