A massively hopped strong pale ale brewed to celebrate our anniversary each year. Anniversary Ale is light gold to pale orange in color and offers a potent aroma of fresh pine and citrus with some warming alcohols present. The taste is a thick, chewy hop presence only barely contained by balancing malts. The finish is pure hop expression with a moderate warming alcohol sensation. Hops – Columbus, Amarillo and Simcoe; dry-hopped with Columbus and Amarillo. Body – Medium.
Availability – Late Spring / Early Summer Release. Formerly 10.5%.

Bottle. Pours bright, hazy amber with thick, frothy off-white head. Aroma is biscuit and toasted malts, light caramel, citrus, light pineapple, and pine hops. Flavor is a smooth balance of sweet, bready malts and fresh hops with some light citrus and some toast. Medium body and carbonation.

cloudy golden colour, moderate sized yellowish off-white head; very complex aroma of tangerine, tropical fruits, pine resin, biscuit notes and hints of citruses; taste is the very same with herbal notes, some honey and spicy aftertaste - cool IIPA

Fruity, alcohol and bitter aroma. The taste is fruity but not really more bitter and difficult to drink according to me. A heavy bitterness that fills the mouth forever. This beer was really nothing for me. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Bottle. This is a nice big hop bomb of an IPA that sits very nicely. Would get again.

Butelka 66cl. OCZY : piwo jest mętne o kolorze pomarańczowym. Piana piwa jest duża o kolorze białym. NOS : piwo ma bardzo złożony aromat. Tarta, wanilia, gruszka, lody śmietankowe, guma rozpuszczalna o smaku jabłkowym, pomarańcz, grejpfrut, mango i żywica. USTA : średnio nasycone o tłustej konsystencji podobnej do nektaru mango. Piwo klei się na ustach. Mocno słodkie ale nuty żywiczne i cytrusowe nadają piwu wystarczająco goryczy by zaprosić do następnego łyku. Owocowe nuty i alkohol przypominają gruszki i ananasy w zalewie, tarte z owocami tropikalnymi popijana ciemnym rumem czy amerykańskim bourbonem. Gorzkość jest spora ale nie zalega. Posmak jest żywiczny, gorzki i alkoholowy. Tarta tez nie daje o sobie zapomnieć. ODCZUCIA : mocne piwo. Smaczne i deserowe.

Opalescent pale golden with a nice creamy off white head. Aroma of huge malt and fruit, honeyish resin, pine and fig. Malty backbone with a ton of tropical fruits, honey and alcohol, huge bit of hops with resin and rosehip, juniper at finish.

Served on cask at Al’s of Hampden into a nonic pint.

A - Pours murky amber orange with a dense one and a half finger tall white head leaving thick rings of lacing down the glass. Very pretty pour.

S - Here’s where things started to go south. Smells of sweet caramel malt and light brown sugar dominate the nose with only the faintest hint of dulled citric hops. A touch of booze creeps in toward the end. What happened to all the hops?

T - Starts off with a big sugary kick with hints of caramel malt and brown sugar. The sweetness is ever present and borders on the point of being overpowering. As it begins to warm more and more of the alcohol creeps in. Some dulled citric hop bite creeps in toward the end but it is far too late to save this one.

M - Medium body and flavor with moderate carbonation. Slick, sweet, feel coats the pallet, lingering through the finish.

O - When this one went on I knew it was going to be the first beer I got and boy was I disappointed. The overwhelming sweetness ruined this beer. I am not sure cask is the best serving method for this beer.

22 oz bottle. Shared with Colin at the Foodery in Philadelphia. Pours a very hazy golden orange color with dense foamy lasting that took several minutes to settle down to a thick wisp and lacing. Aroma is overall sweet with notes of sugar dusted grapefruits. Flavor is intense hops and pine with a hint of zesty citrus. This is a big beer, 10% is not well masked, but it’s not unpleasant. Sweet malty finish, medium bodied.
