COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A massively hopped strong pale ale brewed to celebrate our anniversary each year. Anniversary Ale is light gold to pale orange in color and offers a potent aroma of fresh pine and citrus with some warming alcohols present. The taste is a thick, chewy hop presence only barely contained by balancing malts. The finish is pure hop expression with a moderate warming alcohol sensation. Hops – Columbus, Amarillo and Simcoe; dry-hopped with Columbus and Amarillo. Body – Medium.

Pours hazy yellow, thin white head. Nose is hoppy, lemon, orange, grapefruit and a hint of caramel. Taste is boozy, chocolate, hay, wheat, and bread. Nice nose and flavors, just a bit too boozy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange with a huge fluffy white head. Bold hoppy aroma with pine, caramel, citrus, grapefruit and some fruitiness. Flavor was hoppy & bitter with piney resin, caramel, sweet malts, grapefruit, citrus and had a long and bitter finish.

Bottle from Brewdog, Leeds. Scared of rating this. It might get to know its only a 4.1. That would piss it off. And that’s no good. This beer can kick your arse. Easily. Frightening beer. Hard as nails. I’m off...

On tap at Nik’s, hazy golden with an orange tint. A bit of citrus aroma with hint of malt. Smooth mouthfeel, almost viscous but not as much as some other DIVAs. Nice malt-to-hop balance, but I prefer others in this category a bit more.

Tap at Lord Hobo, big chewy thick cloying IIPA need to cut the thickness of the beer, other than that its massively hopped deeply bitter and really tasty but super thick.

Big shared bottle at Beer Temple, Amsterdam. Honey malts and tropical fruit hops aroma. Heavy sweetness, Full bodied alco warmth and a piny bitterness that strikes, balances and persists. Hazy golden body and a white film. Somehow it felt wrong to spend valuable time finishing a big bottle of this when on a rare visit to a candy shop like Beer Temple.

Cloudy yellow gold color. Massive rocky white head. Big pine hop aroma obscures a faint caramel malt nose. Flavor upfront is a big mash up of butterscotch toasted malt, sweet tropicals, vanilla and bitter pine hops. Noticeable warming alcohol. Grapefruit hops in mid taste. Finish is all bitter hops, long and tasty. More warming alcohol, as well.
