(Sample Date: 7/18/2009 Source:Other) Bottle courtesy of gandgkevin on 07/18/2009 at Immy’s. Floral citrusy minty hop nose with caramel sweetness. Orange citrus notes. Cloudy orange golden with small white head. Lightly grainy with hefty bitterness. Some alcohol warming! Hop flavor really comes out in the finish. Finish is medium with medium body and mouth.

30-DEC-2009, bottle @home, from "Fish & Beer". I have a cold, so I am not sure that I give this what it deserves, but I can already see that I am above average in rating, so I cannot have lost all of my senses - or mayby I have:-) Pours beautifull orange with low white head. Nose is just what I want in an IIPA. Very piney, grape fruit, but also very malty, and that is just the way I think it should be. Perfect balance between malt and hops. Very creamy, medium to low carbonation. Fantastic and very long aftertaste. Very good example of the style.

Courtesy my Secret Santa-thanks man! A nice west coast hop bomb. Aroma was a thick heavy citrus. Pour was a cloudy bubbly medium orange with a one finger off white head. Taste was perfectly balanced. There was a strong piney and citrus hoppiness with a solid caramel malt backbone. Very little carbonation. Another great beer from Secret Santa 09

Botella. Hazy deeep golden color with a nice creamy off-white head leaving a good lacing. Sweet hoppy, citrus , fruity and malty pleasant aroma. Good mouthfeel indeed. Sweet quite hoppy, citrus, fruity caramel malty bitter flavour. Sweet and bitter well lasting finish. Hides the alcohol quite well.

Bottle thanks to Dmac. Pours out a moderate copper color with some slight white lacing remnants of a head. Notes of citrus hops and some sweetness lingering around with a touch of alcohol. Taste is rather boozy, some citrus hops and some sweet malty grain notes make an appearance, but the hops and the alcohol duel it out and the alcohol wins big time.

22 oz bomber from Capones. Pours a murky orange with an average foamy white head. Aroma has lots of fruitiness with caramel and toffee sweetness along with citrus hops. The flavor has some serious noticable alcohol throughout the entire flavor along with lots of grainy malts and harsh citrus rind. Interesting but tone down the alcohol and balance this one out a bit.

Bottle shared at the DC Local tasting. Bomber pours a transparent orange, amber with a creamy, slightly off white head. BIG nose: perfume, pine, lemons, candy. Flavor is mostly grapefruit, very astringent, pine tar. Finish is a little hot. Some light sweetness.
