A massively hopped strong pale ale brewed to celebrate our anniversary each year. Anniversary Ale is light gold to pale orange in color and offers a potent aroma of fresh pine and citrus with some warming alcohols present. The taste is a thick, chewy hop presence only barely contained by balancing malts. The finish is pure hop expression with a moderate warming alcohol sensation. Hops – Columbus, Amarillo and Simcoe; dry-hopped with Columbus and Amarillo. Body – Medium.
Availability – Late Spring / Early Summer Release. Formerly 10.5%.

Bottled@Oliver Twist (Stockholm). Thanks to the peeps from Ölfrämjandet for sharing. Orangeish golden cllour, small beige head. Aroma is sweet fruity hops along with alcohol, some wood and grass. Flavour is annoyingly sweet of the same as mentioned. Semibitter finish.

Bottle. Pours hazy orange with an average, frothy white head, somewhat lasting with a good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, cookie, cereal), heavy hop (flowers, perfume, pine, citrus, orange), average yeast (sweat) with notes of light alcohol, apple, pear, peach, and pineapple. Full bodied, sticky texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, light acidity, heavy acidity and bitterness.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of sweet caramel malt with bitter hoppy notes. Taste is dominated by hoppy bitter notes with lots of sweet caramel malt- I would have enjoyed this one a lot more if more floral hops would have been used. Body is quite full with limited filtration and good carbonation with no signs of the alcohol. Not bad thought a bit too one-dimensional for my taste.

Ridiculously sweet. Clings to your mouth / syrup qualities knock down palate score. Great use of hops like you expect from Pizza Port, but there is too much malt in here. Not sure if they stopped the fermentation, but it seems like there could be another 2% abv in the extra sugar left over. A bit disappointed, does not live up to their own standards. Not to be gross, but the burp-taste of this is almost exactly the taste of Sierra Nevada Pale ale. No, like exactly... so maybe this is a triple recipie or something.

To celebrate my rating # 3500. Bottle @ HJHansen, Odense. Pours cloudy golden with a small creamy lasting white head. Nose is fresh of various fruity hops. Pine and citrus. Medium and full and smooth palate. Bitter dry lasting end. Very nice.

Flaske: Orange uklar med et lille skumhoved. Lidt lysere end normalt. Dejlig frisk duft af citrus og klassisk amerikansk humle. Smagen er lidt for meget alkoholdomineret hvilket gør den ubalanceret.

Bottle. High creamy thickly looking off-white long lasting head. Hazy dense dark orange body. Oranges hops alcohol dusty aroma. Powerful hops dominated fruity, oranges peach apple grapefruit, flavor with an alcohol level that seems just right. Low carbonation, long bitter aftertaste.
