COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A massively hopped strong pale ale brewed to celebrate our anniversary each year. Anniversary Ale is light gold to pale orange in color and offers a potent aroma of fresh pine and citrus with some warming alcohols present. The taste is a thick, chewy hop presence only barely contained by balancing malts. The finish is pure hop expression with a moderate warming alcohol sensation. Hops – Columbus, Amarillo and Simcoe; dry-hopped with Columbus and Amarillo. Body – Medium.
Availability – Late Spring / Early Summer Release. Formerly 10.5%.

My bottle just says Anniversary Ale. Very little carbonation, no head. Much lighter aroma than expected. Cloudy carmel-tan colored. Thick and rich and juicy, carmel malts and alcohol and citrus and bitter hops and, and could I have another please. Tastes more like a nicely hopped barley wine than an IIPA.

Bottle at tasting. Golden pour. Aroma of malt, grain and tropical fruit. Flavor of caramel, hop, mango, peach, pine and citrus. Very good.

Aroma is filled with herbal hops and sweet caramel. Taste is first sweet then followed by bitter oily grassy hops. Beer is full bodied but missing a nice crisp refreshing palate. Good but not great.

On tap at Two Stones Pub in Kennett Square, PA. Clear orange with a fine off-white head and excellent lacing. Aroma of citrus, tropical fruit, pine, resin, pepper and alcohol. Taste of pine resin, grapefruit, oralnge, tropical fruit, alcohol and pepper. Medium/full body and medium/high carbonization. An unexceptional imperial IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This beer is missing the big bold hop pressence they brag about. Instead it comes off rather boozy with only an ok level of bitterness. Lacks any real hop aroma or flavor.

) ... ( a revoir ? )

Aroma of citrus, orange, caramel, pine resin, floral notes, malt, big hops.. Flavour is moderate sweet with a bitter finish. One to sip on slowly, it doesn’t drink easily at all. Be prepared to take some time... Another thick and heavy hop bomb from Port Brewing.

Smells great with fresh hoppy smell and sweetness. Looks to be little unfiltered. Taste very flavorful with strong hop flavor good sweet after taste.

Sweet maltieness mixes with a slight bitter and a moderate hop aroma from this hazy dull orangish brew with FOD. A bitter and citrusy hop flavor are upfront followed by straight malt sweetness and ending in a warm burning from the 10%. It's a full bodied brew with a good carb. Not a bad brew big beer big taste.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours dark gold with a white head. Taste citrus, pine, fruit. I thought this was good. I would drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours hazy orange brown with some white head. Nose is dank and citrus. Taste is thick dank, citrus and caramel. Hops overwhelm the malts. Good but a lot of work to drink.
