A massively hopped strong pale ale brewed to celebrate our anniversary each year. Anniversary Ale is light gold to pale orange in color and offers a potent aroma of fresh pine and citrus with some warming alcohols present. The taste is a thick, chewy hop presence only barely contained by balancing malts. The finish is pure hop expression with a moderate warming alcohol sensation. Hops – Columbus, Amarillo and Simcoe; dry-hopped with Columbus and Amarillo. Body – Medium.

22 oz bomb. Cloudy, golden. Big, super juicy, big, barleywine-esque. Smothered w/ tropical fruits, caramel, thick mouthfeel, almost syrupy...not mouth numbingly bitter....fair amount of candy sweetness to even if out. Tastes 10%, bruiser like beer. I could see why this wouldn’t be everyone’s cup a tea. I liked it, but wouldn’t revisit considering the $$$.

Bottle. Pours golden with a white head. Quite malty aroma, caramel, sugar, syrup. Some hoppy grapefruit and orange zest. Fabulous palate, thick and rich body, with just the right carbonation. Bitter finish, long. Mostly bitter with very pleasant sweet tones for balance. Yum!

American beers tasting at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours golden with white foam. Aroma, in addition to some herbaceous and resinous, shows alcohol. Taste conforms that, with loads of bitterness and a rather during alcoholic feeling. Extreme. Somehow unbalanced.

10th anniversary IIPA. Hazy gold-orange, small white head. Boozy, orangy aroma. Full body although alcohol is well-hidden. Flavor is moderately bitter, orange hops, a lot of sweet malt background. Pretty drinkable for 11%, not sure I’ll remember much about it.

From Zombier. 6? 66cl. In Teku glass. Playing Broken Sword 4. Very resinous. Reminds me my beloved Pseudosue but this one is just a tiny step below because its higher ABV, which is very well hidden but goes up to the head pretty quickly

Amber clear with medium off white head. Fruity aroma. Sweet malty and fruity start with medium citrus sourness, immediately followed by very strong hoppy bitterness. Long lasting bitter aftertaste.

Pours a finger and half of head on a slightly hazy straw body. Aroma is pine forest, grapefruit, lemon and orange. Wonderful. Taste starts mildly sweet, then goes big pine bitterness and finishes with super malty sweet. Texture is thicker.

Bottle (as Anniversary Ale), 11% ABV (from beergium). Pours amber with beige head. The head stays, nice lacing. Aroma is very hoppy, citrus, pine, caramel, Flavor is sweet and bitter, pine, citrus, malt, booze, some floral hops. Finish is resin bitter with some alcohol. Drinkability is decent, but it’s too boozy for my taste. Overall: ok.

Feel like I’m eating hop leaves - thick and heavy. Drinks well though, bitterness is fair.
