Tap at Mayor of Old Town in Fort Collins.
Nose is bright and fresh, with typical grapefruit and resin notes. Some rosemary and pine as well, not overly complex. Mouth follows through nicely, adding in some floral, maybe lemon basil or kaffir lime leaves, mildly citronella-esque. Clean malts, not heavy or clunky like the XTREME IPAs everyone else seems to be making. Very youthful in character. There’s a bit of weirdness to the resiny texture, but the overall restraint, simplicity, and freshness are very appealing. Drinking more like Pliny than Pliny is these days.

Savannah, Ga - Habersham Beverage Warehouse, 22 oz bomber. Dark golden, slightly murky pour with a thick sticky white head that leaves plenty if sticky lacing. Fresh spruce-like aroma, traces of pineapple. Full-bodied flavor with plenty of nectar-like bittersweet grapefruit citrus notes. Some nectarines and pomegranates add to the fruity sweetness. Juicy syrup notes round out the back end. Mouthfeel is thick and succulent. Very solid IPA.

In bottle from The BrewDog Bar, Edinburgh. Pours a golden colour with a thick white head. Beautiful fresh cut hop aroma, quite citrusy with passion fruit and pineapple tropical fruits and a little caramel. Nicely bitter with green hops, juicy pineapple and mango flavours. A chewy caramel and biscuity malt backbone. Alcohol and bitter hops last for ages. Very tasty!

Det här var en väldigt intressant ölupplevelse, smaken är väldigt komplex och har en bitter och kraftig beska. I beskan kunde jag känna en viss torrhet som jag inte kan precisera. Som sagt ölen är komplex, intressant och god.

Bottle, thanks to Leighton at his pre-xmas extravaganza. It pours hazy golden yellow, with a thick white head. The nose is fresh hop, floral, juicy orange citrus, grass and leaf. The taste is hay, straw, pine, resin, floral, green hop. grass, leaf, dough and alcohol warmth, with a long bitter finish. Medium body, moderate-high carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Nice, but the alcohol is a bit too obvious.

22 oz. bottle, PDT of 9/21/11- Pours slightly hazy golden with a lot of carbonation bubbles and a nice two finger pillowy bone white head. Aroma is citrusy, resin, peppery. The taste is resinous fresh hops, followed by more piney hops and a large amount of bitterness after the swallow, the bitter hops stick in your mouth until you take your next drink. There is some citrusy hops there too. Big hoppy IPA, not one note, very complex, big bitterness, a hop heads delight.
