Bottle from FlacoAlto, thanks! Orange blonde color. Melon and pineapple in the aroma. Initial malt and fruit (melon, citrus, pineapple) coincide well with a firm grassy and flowery hopbitterness. Melon in the aftertaste, with some oily hops. Very well balanced mix of fruit and hops. Very good!

Attractive, thick head with good retention and decorative lacing. Balanced aroma with some sweet and spicy. Spicy on the nose and mouth. Medium carbonation and weight. I prefer Wipeout but would choose this one over the Hop 15. Just depends on ones preferences/expectations I suppose.

Bottle from Jimbo. Pours a slightly hazy gold coulour with a medium white head that dissovles with some foamy lacing. Aroma is sweeter pink grapefruit hops and some orange rind. Really easy drinking, with a great hop profile. They start out very sweet but then mellow into a nice lasting bitterness in the finish. Definitely not overpowering the malt backbone. Very nicely balanced IPA.

A- Pours a hazy yellow gold hue, head is small, white, creamy and mostly diminishing, some sticky lacing left on the glass S- Aroma is dominated by citrus and pine hops, some spice, floral, and sugar sweetness, backed by subtle bread and caramel malts T- Initial taste is dominated by wet grapefruit hops that are followed by floral and pine tones, caramel malts are along for the ride in the background, and the finish is dry with a very slight alcohol warming M- Medium-bodied IPA with a smooth watery texture, oily residue coats the tongue, lively carbonation is at a suitable level for this style D- This is a nice little hop bomb, and I was surprised to learn the abv was only 6.5%, it is very easy-to-drink and the alcohol is well-masked. My intentions were to get a growler of Hop 15, but I was blown away by the unique "wet hop" profile of this seasonal IPA (I even did a blind taste test with H15), I will definitely pick this up again in the future (It looks like it gets bottled, but I have yet to see it in stores).

Bottle.Poured a medium amber with a small head. Nose was a bit lighter than expected, but of course the hops were there. Pretty well balanced with some sweetness and some spicyness to it. Finish was fairly dry and not all that bitter. Solid and very drinkable re rate, Next bottle I had a much bigger and full nose, and very hoppy and tasty. Seemed to have a similar malt base as the recent de proef collaboration. Very tasty.

A generous present from Santa I finally got around to opening this. Stored in the fridge to keep it as fresh as possible I knew it was time when I got snowed in during a recent storm. Port Brewing really knows how to make great West Coast IPAs; this one is no exception.

Aroma / Appearance - A beautiful one finger head surged to the top. Below was a solid golden body which percolated with carbonation. Pine, resin, and fresh grass clippings gave this a powerful kick. Honey, hops, and pear make this one of my favorite to date.

Flavor / Palate - Sweet and citrusy this rolls across the tongue. Grapefruit introduces the first wave of bitterness which then clings tenaciously to the back of the throat. Fluid and moist it is filling yet not thick. I think I would compare it to Alpha King or Bitter Woman From Hell if I had fresh bottles of either handy.

Really good IPA, I actually thought this seemed closer to an imperial IPA from the relatively thick palate. Extremely bitter, sharp hop bite. Citrus hops, not overdone. Would have liked it more if it were a little more balanced, overpowering bitterness. Thanks again sleepy.

btl by BeerHawk. Medium hazed orange not much head. Aroma of evergreen and grapefruit. Nice semi sweet malt with a hard citrus/resiny bitter. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Very solid ipa with a nice lingering bitter.
