| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 17, 2009 Courtesy hopscotch. Pours clear golden color with a big, foamy white head that shows good retention. Rings of lacing are left behind as the head settles. The aroma is very fresh of piney hops, citrus fruits, hop resin, and some floral characters as well. THe orange and grapefruit flavors come through immediately to go along with the piney and floral flavors. A touch of caramel; sweetness shows through, but is dreid out quickly by the bittering hops. Medium bodied with solid carbonation and very crisp on the palate. Goes down easy with a long, bitter finish. A solid fresh hop IPA, and another winner from these guys. | 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Jan 11, 2009 Bottle from Beer Merchants, delivered to my door by Phil l on Christmas Eve. Simcoe and Centennials in this so it should be good. Gold, slight haze, lasting ivory head. Leafy hop aroma hits you straight off, love those simcoes. It’s big and extreme, but I rather like it. Love the hop. Good in the mouth. Slightly creamy and fullish pale malt. Works really well. Great big hop, very good fresh hop IPA. meeple (56), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
