paiste2002 (148), Saugus, California, USA Oct 12, 2008 22oz bottle, the second this evening. Nice hazy yellow/ straw color with a very nice big white head dwindling to some very nice lace. The Aroma is floral, citrus, pine, fresh! Flavor is fresh hops, citrus, flowery, malty sweetness, very very well balanced complex beer. Fresh, bright, crisp, this is what an IPA is all about! It was an eye opener last year, this year I’ve been waiting for this one from one of my all time favorite brew pubs. Had it on tap last Sunday at the new very cool Blue Palms in Hollywood, an incredible experience! Bottle or tap. Moosington (28), Costa Mesa, California, USA Oct 11, 2008 Bomber from Hi-Times. Nice gold pour with a quickly dissipating head. Despite that, there is some solid lacing. Nose of extremely fresh pine and citrus. Flavor is a solid hop/grapefruit charge with a slight sweetness to keep it from being overbearing. Excellent showing. luttonm (275), Belgrade, Serbia Oct 10, 2008 2008 22oz from Bottleworks. Fresh nose, wet pines and grass. Sprite, flowery taste that is much more interesting that other fresh hops. A crisp bitterness, well balanced with the complex wet hop taste. Sweet flower finish .. can only think of ’green’ and ’fresh’. Wonderful snoot (277), Anaheim, California, USA Oct 10, 2008 Pours a hazy gold, smallish white head with some decent lacing. Fresh and funky hop aroma, flavor is heavy on the grapefruit but without that baseball bat of acidity to the back of the head. Medium body. Very nice. smashteroid (227), USA Oct 9, 2008 Served cold from 22 oz. bottle. Hazy blonde/gold color with a modest soapy white head. Good lacing. Aroma strong with floral pine scent mixed with some citrus/tangy notes. Flavor is a combination of light sweetness and light bitterness. Medium bodied, good carbonation. This is one of the better IPAs I have had recently. Hophead22 (1056), Redlands, by way of Wisconsin,, California, USA Oct 6, 2008 22oz bottle. Nice orange/yellow color, white head with good lacing. Very nice floral aroma, fresh of course, grassy as well. Very well balanced with the malts, not over the top on the bitterness, very tasty and very well done. Beerman6686 (1266), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 3, 2008 Poured a golden cloudy color with a small white head. Aroma was full of citrus hops, really fresh smelling and got me excited. Flavor not not quite as enticing as the aroma, malts get in the way a bit, but overall still pretty bitter, citrusy/pineapple mostly with some pine flavor mixed in. steview (901), Los Angeles, California, USA Sep 29, 2008 Updated: Oct 25, 2008gold body, somewhat hazy, small soapy head, moderate lacing; medium in all accounts, but its spiciness, which is light; aromatic note of peach, spice; flavors consist of grapefruit, lemon, pine, grass; fresh, good, best if let to warm... UPDATE 10/25/2008: hazy gold body, small and soapy white head, lots of sticky lacing; still medium in all accounts--uprated appearance and overall impression.
