2008 22oz from Bottleworks. Fresh nose, wet pines and grass. Sprite, flowery taste that is much more interesting that other fresh hops. A crisp bitterness, well balanced with the complex wet hop taste. Sweet flower finish .. can only think of ’green’ and ’fresh’. Wonderful

Pours a hazy gold, smallish white head with some decent lacing. Fresh and funky hop aroma, flavor is heavy on the grapefruit but without that baseball bat of acidity to the back of the head. Medium body. Very nice.

Served cold from 22 oz. bottle. Hazy blonde/gold color with a modest soapy white head. Good lacing. Aroma strong with floral pine scent mixed with some citrus/tangy notes. Flavor is a combination of light sweetness and light bitterness. Medium bodied, good carbonation. This is one of the better IPAs I have had recently.

22oz bottle. Nice orange/yellow color, white head with good lacing. Very nice floral aroma, fresh of course, grassy as well. Very well balanced with the malts, not over the top on the bitterness, very tasty and very well done.

Poured a golden cloudy color with a small white head. Aroma was full of citrus hops, really fresh smelling and got me excited. Flavor not not quite as enticing as the aroma, malts get in the way a bit, but overall still pretty bitter, citrusy/pineapple mostly with some pine flavor mixed in.

gold body, somewhat hazy, small soapy head, moderate lacing; medium in all accounts, but its spiciness, which is light; aromatic note of peach, spice; flavors consist of grapefruit, lemon, pine, grass; fresh, good, best if let to warm... UPDATE 10/25/2008: hazy gold body, small and soapy white head, lots of sticky lacing; still medium in all accounts--uprated appearance and overall impression.

Bottle. Poured a clear gold color with a three finger white head. Aroma of citrus hops and pine. Flavor was citrus and pine with a slight malt note. Medium body with good carbonation.

Pours a bright, clear pale golden with a puffy white head that lingered for a while leaving good lacing. The smell was citrus hops, mainly lemons with a bit of grapefruit, with a bit of pine. Not nearly as fragrant as I expected. The taste mirrors the aroma with some citrus and pine on top of a bready malt backbone. There is a decent hop bitterness but nothing overpowering. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with decent carbonation and a slight hop stickiness. I enjoyed this one but I really think I would enjoy it much more fresh. Compared to the fresh Hop 15 I had recently, it just doesn’t stack up. I will seek a fresh bottle of this one when it’s released again. Edit: Had a fresh bottle on 10/25/08 and it was much better/fresher than the first. Much better pine hop presence in the nose and taste.
