huge aroma of hops that manifests as strong lemon and fresh cut kentucky blue. appearance is light for style, straw yellow with a very light haze. flavor is huge lemon and subtle tangerine sweetness punctuated with a turtlehead of bready malts. this is deciedly not fresh, 45 days old minimum...but i wonder if that wonderful bready note (and subsequent balance) would have existed in its freshest capacity?

Clear gold with a dense taupe head. Aroma and taste are clean and citrusy with tangerine notes and simcoe character. Finish is clean with relatively brisk carbonation. $6/pint

Pours a thick golden yellow color, very cloudy appearance. There are also lots of bubbles, a thick white head and a good amount of lacing. Aroma is floral hops, grapefruit and malt. The taste is grapefruit, citrus, and lots of hops. Great IPA from Port.

pours a golden color with a huge white head on it...great retention and lacing. very lively looking with lots of co2 bubbles. aromas has some pilsner malt, a bit biscuity, and some subtle citrus and spicy hops. flavor has loads of spicy hops up front with a touch of grapefruit towards the end. slightly oily mouthfeel with a very bitter lingering grapefruit finish.

Bottle courtesy of LilBeerDoctor when we met up at Captain Lawrence to swap our mysteries a bit early. Thanks Margaret. Pours a hazy golden orange with a huge yellowed white head. Great big citrus and musky pine and earthy hops. A bit thin, a touch sweet. Finishes with a long drawn out quinine bitterness. Very tasty.

Draft @ Hulmeville Inn. Pours a golden yellow with some white head. Very floral aroma and flavor compared to the Wipe out, more of a fan of wipe out but this is a solid west coast IPA.

Pours a clear golden yellow with medium foamy white head. Aroma is pine, grapefruit..all hops. Flavor is initially a quick sweet malt followed by huge piney hops and bitter grapefruit in the finish. Bitterness lasts and lasts. Very nice fresh hop beer - simcoe a little to bitter for me though.
