turbo (1254), Arizona, USA Jan 21, 2008 Poured dark gold with a thick, white creamy head and thick sticky lacing.
Nice and strong I.P.A aroma and flavor.
Citrus, pine hops, grapefruit, oranges and all that good shit!
A good IPA that is easy drinking and not over powering.
Good beer!! jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Jan 17, 2008 Hightide (fresh hop wipe out)-on tap-pours a thin off white head that laces and slightly hazy gold color. Aroma is citrus hops. Taste is citrus/grapefruit hops, dry, faint/hint of malt. Good tingly effervescence. Did I say dry? Also raw. Not for sessions.
tronraner (1906), Maryville, Tennessee, USA Jan 15, 2008 Bomber, shared with NachlamSie. Pours hazy yellow with white head. The aroma is very much grapefruit, with a little bit of sugariness and white bread. The flavor is grapefruit juice, with a nice sharp bitterness to it. Then a sweeter lemon tone comes in, as well as a mellow yeastiness. This is a pretty tasty brew. NachlamSie (1631), Tennessee, USA Jan 15, 2008 bomber, thanks to Tronraner. Pours a cloudy dark gold with a small white head. Hop aroma is very crisp and straightforward. Loads of pine and lemon are noted with a deep herbal, grassy bitterness. Wow, not a lot of malt on this one. It’s all about the hops. Big, drying blast of pine and weed with a lemony sweetness coming out for some balance. I don’t get a lot of juicy citrus on this one. Pretty darn tasty stuff and impressively hoppy. Zinister (1199), Houston, Texas, USA Jan 15, 2008 Brought this at 2nd Houston Tasting. Cloudy lemony yellow color, much like a hefe, with a bubbly white head. Fresh citrus hops with floral as well. Crisp flavor with softer hops than the nose. Nice bite on the finish. MaltOMeal (642), Land of Sugar, Texas, USA Jan 14, 2008 Updated: Mar 7, 2008bottle at 2nd Houston Tasting, thanks to Zinister. Pours a cloudy yellow with a half-finger white head. Aroma of grapefruit. Taste is definitely grapefruit and maybe orange rind. Mouthfeel is medium, fresh-hop feel with harshness in the bitterness. Not one of my favorite IPAs. KAggie97 (2406), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA Jan 14, 2008 Bottle at 2nd Houston Tasting. Pours a cloudy light yellow with an aroma of melon, factory plastic, and sweet grapefruit. Flavor is a blend of grapefruit and orange that leaves a bitter, but pleasing, film on the tongue. Great mouthfeel; flavors are distributed throughout the sip. A surpisingly light IPA that is nonetheless refreshing and delicious. badbeer (432), Iowa, USA Jan 12, 2008 Light gold color with a white head leaving good lacing and has pretty good retention. Aroma is mostly of pine, but there are some floral, earthy aromas as well and a bit of grapefruit. Some citrus flavors, but I seem to get a fairly large amount of earthy flavors. Lighter than medium carbonation with a medium body. Flavor wasn’t quite an 8 for me, so it gets bumped down an overall point. Pretty good stuff.
