Ty5592 (1015), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 12, 2008 Updated: Jan 17, 2008Clear yellow/apricot color. Hoppy citrus aroma with skunk mixed in. The taste was mainly citrus with light malt, mango, and apricot flavors. Bitter medium skunky finish. whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 11, 2008 Cottony white head on a shimmering gold body with a substantial load of hop particles. Fruity mango and grapefruit, plus fresh resinous hop cones and light pale malt sweetness underneath. Nicely rendered hop bitterness. Assertive, but not coarse or rough. Very skillfully crafted IPA. I’ve been having a major hop craving lately and this beer was extremely satisfying.
RCL (1443), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA Jan 11, 2008 Explosion of tropical fruit hop aromas. Litchi and mango. Not at all overpowering on the palate. Nice lasting clean, piney finish. emacgee (1859), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Jan 7, 2008 Pours a hazy gold with no head. The aroma is very fruity, sweet, hoppy, mandarin oranges, grapefruit, citrus. The flavor is citrusy, grapefruit, mandarin oranges, a little waxy and bitter. Overall a very fruity hoppy aroma and flavor with a waxy bitter palate and lasting finish. biz82 (1328), austin, Texas, USA Jan 7, 2008 From memory. Hazy and pale gold with a fluffy white head. Tropical fruit hop aroma. Organic, full soft resinous hop grapefruit and lime flavor with balancing malt and body. Gentile and lingering hop finish. Really an exceptional and even sensuous ale. theisti (1640), Leawood, Kansas, USA Jan 7, 2008 22 oz. bottle from Zinister. Pour is cloudy cheddar cheese orange [TM] / yellow with visible floating sediment and a nice fluffy, 2 inch white head. Aroma of resinous hops, some citrus (orange) and some pine. Taste is really resiny and earthy hop, initial bitterness is fairly muted and gives way to a very bitter orange peel finish. Nice IPA.
[TM] the term "cheddar cheese orange" is used with the express written consent of KAggie97. golubj (1275), Sunnyvale, California, USA Jan 1, 2008 Bottle. Yellow-gold pour with small white head. Nice tropical and citrus hop aroma. Good mouthfeel, somewhat slick. More tropical and bittering hops in the flavor with some malt bitterness as well. Probably one of the best IPAs out there. 5000 (2409), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA Jan 1, 2008 Bottle: Dark straw, very cloudy and hazy, sediment settling to the bottom, large frothy off-white head, good lacing.   Resiny hop
nose, citrus rind, some grainy malts.   Citrusy bitterness up front, soft hop presense.   Seems a little musty.   Getting that
morsoe in the nose.   Not sure I could call this "fresh", but it certainly is a good IPA.   Moderate to full bodied, mild malt
background.   Lingering hop and citrus bitterness.   This is a good example of a West Coast IPA.   Flavorful, good nose, fairly
well balanced, clean, with lingering bitterness.   Compared to other "Fresh Hop" ales its not as aromatic, but still decent nonetheless.
