Lacing is coating. Clear gold color. Fruity nose of citrus, grapefruity and peachy. Medium bodied, lightly oily on the palate. Pleasent fruit flavors, citrus, nicely tropical and melony with some caramel maltiness hanging in there. An almost dry fruity finish, good hop bite. Thanks to dirty_martini and SDbruboy for bombers of this groovy elixer. Thanks guys! ucusty (1881), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA

Pours out a cloudy light orange color with a two to three finger thin and foamy head. Aroma is of pine and citrus hops. Taste is nice and hoppy with citrus and pine hops coming through, not many malts flavors going on, maybe a slight backbone. Nice bitter bite comes through on the finish. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 11, 2007 Thanks to dirty martini. Orange pour, small white head. Aroma is awesome huge citrus hops, orange and grapefruit. Flavor is same citrus hops. A big fresh leafy teast. Bitterness is semi high and works well with this basially hop juice. Thin mouthfeel and low on malts but high on carbonation. One-dimensional but it is what it is a straight IPA. agl108 (503), Manayunk, Pennsylvania, USA

Fresh cut oranges and lemons in the nose. Sharp, bitter finish. Very good, but not quite as good as other harvest ales. OldMrCrow (1187), Seattle, Washington, USA

Pours a fairly light gold with a nice white head that fades fairly slowly and leaves a rich foamy lace along the sides of the glass. Huge candied grapefruit aroma, immensely juicy, just the faintest hint of skunk on the early pre-sip . Flavor is pretty straight-forward; no malt presence to speak of here, just the bittering grapefruit rind hops which come in best late. That’s fine, but it leaves the first half of the flavor profile tasting rather mild and watered down. Mouthfeel is slightly on the thin side, adding to the watered-down sensation.
I’d like to try this one fresh on tap. Here in the bottle, a couple of months old at least, it’s not as exceptional as I might have hoped.
