Draught at City Beer. Hazy gold with a small white head that leaves nice lacing. The aroma has a big cereal and bread thing going on actually, with lots of grassy, spicy, and planty hops. The flavor also has a substantial bready malt flavor with lots of oily, grassy hops and a lower bitterness for an IPA. Medium bodied and crisp. Not really what I was expecting actually, with way more oily grass flavor and less bitterness and fruit. Pretty different from Wipeout and a cool switch-up, though the fresh hops this year may be a bit lacking in fruitiness that you might expect if it really is simcoe and centennial like the description says.

Growler fill from brewery in San Marcos -- this is really fresh. Pours a pale honey-amber color with a surprisingly small amount of head. Aroma is dominated by fresh hops, of course -- peach, mellow citrus (i.e. not bright grapefruit), grass -- as well as some cereal-y malts. Flavor also of earthy and fresh hops -- light pine, citrus, and some spice. There’s a very nice level of bitterness in the flavor and finish. This is the best fresh hop beer I’ve had.

Bottle, 22 fl. oz. Pours a clear yellow/golden beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is hops, fresh and citrus. The flavor is hops and citrus. The palate is bitter and overall the beer is very well balanced.

Bottled. Tnx to thewolf! The aroma has grassy and citric hoppiness. hazy, yellow coloured beer with an off-white head. The taste is moderate bitter, citric, piney, quite crisp and it has a nice bitter dry finish.

1 pt 6 fl.oz. bottle. Hazy golden colour. Thick fluffy white head. Sharp grassy hop aroma. Flavourwise there is a sugary bite. Light on the malts, but with the sugary malt flavour. Fruity with a definite peachy flavour. Some pineapple and dandelion as well. Nicely balanced, but there is a bit of yeast in there as well, but I guess that was my fault as I poured everything in the bottle. Crisp and very refreshing. An excellent beer.

Grassy, fruit smell. Hazy orange in color with a bubbly white head and looks great. A very hoppy flavor that is really grassy and green with a bitter finish and some sort of a lemon flavor involved. Very nice and easy flavor, I wonder what hops they use. Creamy full mouthfeel. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 12-09-2007 00:20:46
