We needed some hops to finish the night and Harry delivered, thanks man!! Lovely fresh hop aroma, lemon citrus - very fresh and herbal but not overpowering. Dark yellow, small white head. Nice taste - very fresh strong hops - herbal and light malt, medium body. Tasted like it was fresh from cask. Nice interesting bitter finish. Great stuff. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 17, 2007 Bottle (22oz). Shared with blankboy & tupalev, my bottle via trade with Boutip. Cloudy pale gold, small frothy off-white head. Sweet juicy malt aroma, good fresh hop medley, pungent resin but mostly light citrus and mild funk. Initially fairly mild sweet malt and moderate bitter hop balance, then the grapefruit pith bitterness kicks in, and continues for a while. Average body, nice astringency, mild carbonation, long lightly acidic finish. Very good. Cletus (5052), Connecticut, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 8, 2007 courtesy of bu11zeye. Pours copper with a sparse white head. Smells of citrus, pine, some lemony hints, dough and caramel. Tastes mildly bitter with a nice malty splash and some pine. Mouthfeel is a little thin. Finish is tangy. puzzl (2601), New York, New York, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jun 25, 2007 Pours like a cup of congealed fat with a fresh white cap. Awesome. One of the cloudiest beers I’ve ever seen, and in an IPA, which is kind of crazy. Fresh and clean hops, no grapefruit but instead more tropical, lighter kind of fruit. Down with the citrus and out with the pineapple! Dangerously drinkable. Pizza Port makes some seriously awesome IPAs. I’m really not a fan of the style, the three floyds style citrus brashness, but PP does away with that and makes some incredibly balanced, quaffable, and unique examples. Well done! | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 21, 2007 Shared bottle with Tom and thanks to John for sending it to me: My pour was more hazy than Tom’s, small head and some lace. The aroma has notes of grassy and resiny hops, grapefruit and mango esters, mineral and yeast. The taste starts with a sharp acidic fruit bite and hop driving bitterness with a minor clove finish. The mouth feel is biting and aggressive, dry and chewy. A nice fresh basic IPA, quite drinkable. Bartzilla (443), San Diego, California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 20, 2007 Goddamn! How is it I haven’t rated this yet? I blew through a couple cases last time it was released. Delicious, fresh, hoppy IPA that reminds me of sticking my face in a giant sack of green buds. Not that I’d know how that smells though. Nope, Impossible.
