Laces okay. Aroma is citrus, and hops. Has a good carbonation and a good mouthfeel. Has a mildly hoppy beginning then the bitterness kicks in. Not overly strong but very tasty. Has a oily texture. A medium body. This is a good tasting IPA. I was worried with all the problems the brewer was having but this was awesome. tokyogoat (507), San Diego, California, USA

Last 2 years when this beer is released it is my favorite. The fresh hop taste sticks out and feels like the hop oils are in the kegs. Great beer, can’t wait until next seasons release. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 30, 2009 22 oz bottle from By the Bottle in Vancouver, WA. Pours out a clear golden color with a thick pillow of a white head that never fully dissipates. Aroma is hefty on the citrus with a bit of a floral hop smell as well. Flavor is mostly the same with some light pine and a huge snap of a bitter finish. Very tasty IPA, would love to get Port in Oregon soon. thebeertourist (2777), Oslo, Norway
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 27, 2009 Bottle from Beermerchants. Hazy golden, solid offwhite head. Fruity hop aroma with hints of berries. Fresh hoppiness, very bitter, grapefruit and apples. A more solid malty base would make this IPA more balanced, but that was maybe not the intention. glennmastrange (838), hobe sound, Florida, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 26, 2009 Bottle. Moderate roasted grain for the malt, heavy grapefruit for the hops, broth for the yeast, and hints of coriander and a faint fruitiness. Head is creamy, white, with good lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is sparkling hazy amber. Flavor is heavily acidic to start, and the long finish is lightly acidic and moderately bitter. Palate is medium, oily, with a lively carbonation and finishes dry. Just a bit out of balance, but still a fantastic IPA.
