22 oz Bottle via mystery beer swap (thanks FlacoAlto!). Wow, finally my first PIZZA PORT BEER..woohooo!!!! Pours a hazy copper with a small white head. Nose is mostly pine and some grapfruit. Flavor starts with some sweet caramel/orange and the quickly turns to some hoppy pine and grapefruit. The hops take top billing here, but the malt backbone is adequate, albeit in the background. The finish is nice and quite balanced (for an IPA). A nice bittersweet finish and aftertaste. This is hoppy, but not bitter, and quite quaffable. Medium body. Light to moderate carbonation. In the upper tier of IPA’s.

Poured from a 22 oz. Thick blonde pour. Fresh, spicy aromas of coriander and mint, wet and lively, in front. Caramel, pineapple, creme brulee and touches of burnt popcorn underneath. Flavors of peach skins, white pepper, dandelion, and bold bitterness that has a pure citrus rind character. Resinous it is not, though certainly dripping with wet tropical hoppiness. Palate is creamy, medium bodied, with spritzy carbonation. Orange juice, rind, and explosive bitterness, sparking and expanding with bold strength. Kissed with the extreme sweet tang of nectarine. Lovely. Thanks for sharing, Ryan!

Bomber. Clear amber with a medium head. Aroma of pine and grapefruit; very sharp. West-coast balanced, big citrus hops with just a little sugary sweetness. Controlled bitterness. Reminded me of a watered down Hopslam.

A delicious and superb IPA. This brewer makes me wish I lived on the west coast. Those hoppy beers over there are so much better than we produce on the east coast. The aroma was perfect. As soon as I cracked the bottle, a huge green wave of hops hit me. Very piney and resiny with alomost a marijuana-ness to it. Pour was a nice light gold with a one finger white head. Taste was all planty hops with a drying bitter aftertaste. Courtesy Secret Santa.

Served cold from 22 oz. bottle. Hazy blonde/gold color with a modest soapy white head. Good lacing. Aroma strong with floral pine scent mixed with some citrus/tangy notes. Flavor is a combination of light sweetness and light bitterness. Medium bodied, good carbonation. This is one of the better IPAs I have had recently.

22 oz. bottle from Big Star Beer Market in Seattle. Nice haze orange IPA with a translucent appearance. Not much of a head, but I haven’t been trying to produce any. Looks like a damn good IPA to me. Very pungent and very big citrus IPA aroma. Damn that is a nice aroma, and for a beer to me that was unknown prior to this evening. Subtle hints of pine are coming through as well. I am giving it a relatively high score in terms of aroma because it (the aroma) is very mellow, but yet quite complex. Hop flavor is slightly soapy if you ask me. The bittering hop is nice and lingers for quite some time. The citrus and pine hops are in your face, but they are to the point where they produce a slightly soapy flavor. Hop flavor is all over the place. At times the hop flavor is clean and fresh and then it becomes rough and is all over the place. A nice texutre to this IPA.

bomber....appearance: belgian like in appearance. translucent orangey light-brown with thin white head...aroma: sweet, pineapple citrus. great assertive nose that jumps out of the glass....taste: nice hop profile that shows presence of flowers, pineapple, and grapefruit....overall, a very enjoyable IPA.

10/25/08 pours a orange,semi-transparent, pour with a soapy white head aroma of sweet tropical fruits, tons of pineapple, and also some dankness to it. flavors of citrus hops, semi-sweet, with a mild bitterness to it that went well into the finish . very drinkable and palatable. 8/4/8/4/15 = 3.9
