4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a hazy gold with no head. The aroma is very fruity, sweet, hoppy, mandarin oranges, grapefruit, citrus. The flavor is citrusy, grapefruit, mandarin oranges, a little waxy and bitter. Overall a very fruity hoppy aroma and flavor with a waxy bitter palate and lasting finish.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
From memory. Hazy and pale gold with a fluffy white head. Tropical fruit hop aroma. Organic, full soft resinous hop grapefruit and lime flavor with balancing malt and body. Gentile and lingering hop finish. Really an exceptional and even sensuous ale.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 oz. bottle from Zinister. Pour is cloudy cheddar cheese orange [TM] / yellow with visible floating sediment and a nice fluffy, 2 inch white head. Aroma of resinous hops, some citrus (orange) and some pine. Taste is really resiny and earthy hop, initial bitterness is fairly muted and gives way to a very bitter orange peel finish. Nice IPA.
[TM] the term "cheddar cheese orange" is used with the express written consent of KAggie97.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Yellow-gold pour with small white head. Nice tropical and citrus hop aroma. Good mouthfeel, somewhat slick. More tropical and bittering hops in the flavor with some malt bitterness as well. Probably one of the best IPAs out there.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: Dark straw, very cloudy and hazy, sediment settling to the bottom, large frothy off-white head, good lacing.   Resiny hop
nose, citrus rind, some grainy malts.   Citrusy bitterness up front, soft hop presense.   Seems a little musty.   Getting that
morsoe in the nose.   Not sure I could call this "fresh", but it certainly is a good IPA.   Moderate to full bodied, mild malt
background.   Lingering hop and citrus bitterness.   This is a good example of a West Coast IPA.   Flavorful, good nose, fairly
well balanced, clean, with lingering bitterness.   Compared to other "Fresh Hop" ales its not as aromatic, but still decent nonetheless.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared by BBB63. Light hazy yellow-orange/straw body, thin-medium off-white head. Medium citrusy, bitter hops aroma, modestly resiny/oily, backed by a bready malt backbone. Body dominated by bitter, citrusy hops. Dry malt. Medium-bodied. Simple and effective.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: MAY 5, 2008 22oz. bottle at Brouwerís in Seattle. This has got to be one of the greatest fresh hop IPAs ever created. It doesnít look like much - a light golden color with a medium head - but the first smell will have you raising your brows. Itís floral hops all the way through - it honestly seems as if youíre smelling freshly picked hops, with only a bit of malts showing through near the end. Wonderfully different from the other fresh hop efforts Iíve tasted. The taste, like the aroma, is all hops. Very bitter, but incredibly smooth all the while. Well worth a try if you can get your hands on it - Iím an IPA fan, and this is one of the most distinct brews Iíve tried.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, from Julioís. Grreat aroma, sweet & fruity. Grapefruit, orange, peach, apricot, tangerine, grass and a peppery streak. Golden orange color, good head that faded quickly, ok lacing. Bit of sediment on second pour. Bitter sweet flavor, big pucker. Grapefruit and grass combo. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel, bitter finish. Mouthfeel got thicker with second pour that had sediment. Very nice aroma, liked the way it changed as it warmed from fleshy fruit to citrus.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Another awesome SoCal IPA. This one pours a crystal clear, pure medium golden color with a large, well retained, spongy white head. Intricate columns of ribbony, thick lacing look like some sort of ancient Script one would find in a cave. The aroma is very green and very fresh, as the name indicates. Drying pine resin meets strong notes of freshly cut grass and dried herbs. Some dry grains, citrus, and lemongrass are all present as well. The flavor is even drier than the nose indicates. Wheat comes through as a backdrop, with just a touch of buttery toffee for sweetness. Immediately, though, the bitter hops take over and dry things out like an oven. Orange and grapefruit burst through on the palate, accompanying the grassy, resinous flavors. The body is medium in stature and extremely crisp. The moderately long finish is dry and bitter. Overall, a very solid IPA hat goes down easy and leaves you longing for more. SoCal rules this genre.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured a cloudy orange color with huge head good lacing. Aroma was lots and lots of grapefruit and some spices. Flavor was much the same grapefuit won out on the flavors spices totally hidden. Good solid IPA.
