4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours orangy-gold and clear, with a modest half-finger head of white.
Some spotting of lacework remained for the duration, as well as a whispy coating on the surface.
Aromatics are pungently floral, with plenty of tropical fruit and resinous dew. Definately showing off the distinct grassy, sweet, oily hop profile found in fresh hop ales.
Mouthfeel is medium and very crisp. Drying and mildly stinging from the bitterness, albeit very smooth.
The pallet is juicy and sticky, with plenty of drying crispness and sappy resin.
Very light malt and well attenutated, with alcohol that starts to warm, but in check enough keep the brew from being a full fledged IIPA.
Plenty of tangerine, grapefruit zest, and lupulin powder.
Damn tasty and extremely quaffable, and the restrained bitterness and alcohol keep you coming back for more.
At $9.00 per 22oz bottle though, (which is like a $27.00 six pack) it will not be a repeat purchase.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from a 22 oz. Thick blonde pour. Fresh, spicy aromas of coriander and mint, wet and lively, in front. Caramel, pineapple, creme brulee and touches of burnt popcorn underneath. Flavors of peach skins, white pepper, dandelion, and bold bitterness that has a pure citrus rind character. Resinous it is not, though certainly dripping with wet tropical hoppiness. Palate is creamy, medium bodied, with spritzy carbonation. Orange juice, rind, and explosive bitterness, sparking and expanding with bold strength. Kissed with the extreme sweet tang of nectarine. Lovely. Thanks for sharing, Ryan!

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
22oz bottle, courtesy of artusory. Thanks, Ryan! Pours a murky, yellowish-brown color; off-white head with patchy lacing. Pleasant, resiny wet hops in the aroma (passion fruit, minerals); resiny and sticky without being overly bitter. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: viscous, sticky hoppiness that follows the nose; plenty of floral and citrus wet hop character; tempered sugar and doughy malts underneath. Lengthy, bitter citrus and mineral finish; plenty of dough.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Very crisp IPA. Solid hops. Bitter taste lingers just right. Bit of that fruit taste I like in an IPA. Another excellent Port beer.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Glowing Cloudy orange pour with a nice head. Sweet, fruity, juicy and fresh hop aroma with good strength. Taste is spicy, apricot like hops fruity hops, honey sweetness, and very nicely hopped and bittered. Very "green" spicy and tingly component to it that I love. Good mouthfeel to round this off into a fantastic wet hopped beer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: NOV 15, 2007 Pours bright gold into a Shaker. Fluffy off-white head leaves sheet lacing as it slowly recedes. Sharp tropical fruit (guava, passionfruit, and tangerine) and pine aromas. Bitter caramel upfront with a lasting grapefruit finish. Took on an unfavorable armpit flavor as it warmed.

4.3 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Capone’s. Whoa, let me tell ya bout the nose on this, Bob Griese! Tons of aromatic hops sear the olfactory membranes, along with copious tropical fruit, including tangerine, honeydew, pineapple, and mango. The pour is hazy deep golden with 1-finger whitish head. The flavor is very hoppy, in fact, this is one of the highest IBU beers I have yet quaffed, with a ton of resiny syrupy hops matched with tropical fruit and caramel malt. There’s no way the malt can keep up with the hops. It also gets a tad hot at the end, but that is a minor beef. Yet another top notch IIPA from these guys.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured a hazy orange amber color with a small, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of pine, floral hops, citrus fruits, and pineapple. Taste of light toffee, citrus fruits, some metal, yeast, grapefruit, and a dry, bitter finish. Nice, but the Founders Harvest I had last night was better.

Bomber. Clear amber with a medium head. Aroma of pine and grapefruit; very sharp. West-coast balanced, big citrus hops with just a little sugary sweetness. Controlled bitterness. Reminded me of a watered down Hopslam.
