# 21 Bottle. [Papsoe’s great blind tasting, thanks Henrik!]
Average fin bubbled head that mostly lasting. Fair display of lacework. Muddy orange color with particles. Aroma of mild hoppy and flora notes. Fruit and sweet peach. Over the palate came hoppy notes of pine, grapefruit, citrus. Some underlying toasted malty feel. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation and light dry texture. 3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
22 oz bottle. Love the label! Clear straw orange with a thin white head. Fairly standard sweet orange grapefruit nose. A little mustiness. Solid mouthfeel, sudsy carb. Just bursts with hop juciness. Grapefruit souffle with bitter orange sauce. Resiny, minty drying with lemon oil. Second glass was cloudy but body was smoother with more pronounced frutiness and spice.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: APR 23, 2008 Bottled. An unclear orange beer with a thin yellow head. The aroma is very nice with strong notes of grapefruit, and the flavor is sweet with strong notes of grass and grapefruit, as well as light spicy notes, leading to a nice bitter end. But the body is a bit thin.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared by nolankowal: Pours a cloudy orange gold color with a white head. Aroma, juicy citrus hops, some pale malts, a bit bready. Flavor, light citrus, kinda thin mouthfeel, orange and grapefruit, it is a refreshing beer, but nothing mind blowing.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz from dirty_martini - thanks, Larry! A big golden body and a surprisingly frothy head. Nicely crisp aroma that’s replicated in the flavor, which is very long-lasting for something with such up-front bitterness, grassy hops, and citrus tang. It tastes a little less juicy than some of the fresh hop brews I’ve sampled lately, but it’s probably more distinctive because of it. Excellent West Coast IPA.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: NOV 22, 2007 Re-rate, bottle courtesy of hapjydeuce: Golden hazy pour, full white head. Great retention and lacing was solid. The aroma was strong grapefruits, some spicey herbal notes. The flavor was much the same, strong grapefruits. The mouthfeel was full bodied. A solid IPA, although not as good from the bottle as my first experience on cask. Thanks, Justin! Original rating: On cask at Flagstaff Brewing, poured a standard golden yellow to orange-ish color, nice foamy head, great retention, outstanding lacing. Aroma was very strong grapefruit and citrus hops. Flavor followed suit, rather strong grapefruit hops, more grapefruit, and then more grapefruits, very nice since I love citrus hops in an IPA. Mouthfeel was excellent, full and creamy for the style (gotta love a cask). Similar take on the style as my favorite Stone IPA, although Stone IPA seems to throw in a bit of resinous notes to be less than one dimensional.

Bottle shared by Odeed, Thanks Jake; Nose of floral hops that really jump out at you, I could smell them as Odeed opened the bottle; Slightly hazy very light amber with a good sized white head; flavor of light, piney hop bitterness, that was nice and hoppy but not too bitter. Excellent!
