UPDATED: NOV 1, 2007 Tasted at the Lost Abbey 1st Anniversary. I had been drinking Bourbon-Barrel Angel’s Share prior to tasting this, so I rated it lower. Kind of mild for an IPA, and not quite sweet enough. Pale yellow color. Little head (probably carbonation setup). I’m not sure where it fits. Rerate: Oct 2007: 6,2.5,6,3,13:3.05

UPDATED: OCT 25, 2007 Sampler on tap at the Lost Abbey 1st Anniversary. I had been drinking Bourbon-Barrel Angel’s Share prior to tasting this, so I think my palate was a bit wrecked. Nice light golden color with a small head. Really great floral aroma of hay, pine and grapefruit. Refreshing, crisp and hoppy. A really nice IPA. Bottled. 10/25/07 The green floral aroma of fresh cut hops really explodes out of the bottle, impressive. Light pale color with excellent head retention. Bursting with bitterness and crisp carbonation, an excellent session beer. Easy to drink and begs for you to take another sip. Slightly peppery but well-balanced hop profile slams the palate and goes down nicely.

IMtheOptimator (1162) - Bethel, Connecticut, USA - MAY 6, 2007
Poured an effervescent pale golden with a large fizzy white head. Aroma of some light lemon zest, earthy, some piney hops, a bit of medicinally alcohol. Flavor is dry and bitter with notes of wood, alcohol, pine, and some grass. Very floral. Overall is rather light and fairly simple... refreshing, though not mind-blowing.

This one poured a golden color. The aroma was lemons, pine, and peaches. This one was mildy hoppy with some lemons, apricots, and grapefruit. A tamer but very nice IPA. The tide is high but I’m moving on!

UPDATED: NOV 6, 2007 I really liked this IPA after a taste at Port Brewing... the aroma reaked!!! Taste was fresh cut pine, grassy and other citrus flavors.. The centennial hops really shined through. Very refreshing, very crisp, very good finish...top notch fresh hop offering.

Bottle courtesy of dirtymartini, thanks again! Hazy yellow-orange white head. Light grassy hops with some lemon and light pale malt. FLavors of somewhat earthy citrus hops, grass and pale malt. Lively carbonation on the medium body...light sweetness with a bitter/dry finish. Not bad.

Translucent, pale and polished gold in color with an oily off white residue residing on top. Sweet hop fury emanates from the bottleneck, and when examined through the glass, we’re dealing with greasy papayas, honey sweet lemon grass, mango rind with tropical enzymes keeping it light and bright while a refreshing lemon and lime rhyme drums in the distance. Bountifully sweet, brisk hop tails take pale honey to dried out dandelions and mid summer grass stems. Bright pulpy oranges with a sugar starved tangerine tendency. Light lemon butter droll to the herbal sweetness, rendering lemon grass with added honey butter for palate substance. Dry palate chafing to the roof of the mouth in the wake of the licking of the mango-grapefruit rind. Quelle balance with clean centennial accolades and just enough Chinook to keep the bitter aggression elevated through to the last drop. Mucho gusto, tpkenned.
