3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Thanks to several trading buddies for bottles of this! Poured a bright, surprisingly bright golden with a short, well-retained white head. The aroma picked up huge doses of fresh, dry, fragrant hops (grass, pine, and floral primarily) over a sweet citrus fruit base that was sufficient, but not the focus of the beer.. very nice nose! The flavor held serve, presenting plenty of fresh, greener hops over sweet caramel and grapefruit meat.. this flavor scored pineapple above all else, with pine and grapefruit playing lesser roles.. well-balanced with sweet pineapple meat and more pine bitterness sticking to the finish. Medium-bodied and well-balanced on the palate, displaying fine characteristics of the fresh hops.. drier at the back, and refreshing. Great stuff!

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Big bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Vika in Oslo. Huge, pillow white head leaving decent lacing behind as it goes down. Straw- golden coloured body, near-clear. Fresh fruity-floral smell including notes of oranges and lemon. Fresh hoppy taste, indeed, with peaches, lemon and oranges added by hints of spicy malts. Dry and smooth bittersweet aftertaste. Pleasing IPA, without exceptional qualities (Hotel room, 08.02.2011).

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle that came via Beermerchants/Cave Direct cheers Phil L. Pours golden moving to a very slight amber colour with a slight haze and large white head. This is punishingly dry and hoppy at first with a bitterness that clings to the back and roof of your mouth like an obstinate stalacmite. There is a sweetness to this beer, but this is slapped down by a youve been tangoed burst of grapefruit complete with pith, crikey its tangy. This is a very good beer. A7 A4 F7 P4 OV15 3.7

Draft. Amber beer with no head. Fresh citrus/grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit flavor with astringent malts. Lingering grassiness and grapefruit flavor. Medium bodied. Some sweetness as you get through it. I had this as 6.3% and finished with Chinook/Centennial.

Bottle courtesy of LilBeerDoctor when we met up at Captain Lawrence to swap our mysteries a bit early. Thanks Margaret. Pours a hazy golden orange with a huge yellowed white head. Great big citrus and musky pine and earthy hops. A bit thin, a touch sweet. Finishes with a long drawn out quinine bitterness. Very tasty.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On Tap @ O’Brien’s. Clear golden color with no head. Very light aroma. Not sure if I smell anything. Flavor is a grapefruit pine combo that results in an almost pineapple zesty lemon tartness. Different. Early on in the sip some malty sweetness is apparent. By midway that vanishes in the face of hops. Crisp fresh tasting brew.
