First brewed in 2002 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the original Pizza Port location in Solana Beach, we searched high and low and combined 15 of our favorite hops which were added every 15 minutes to the boil. Somewhat darker than other Double IPA style beers, our beer oozes the hop goodness of pine needles, freshly squeezed citrus and ground spices which are only moderately tempered by a sweet malt finish. Thankfully, for all of us hopheads, we have decided to brew this beer more than once a year. Look for Hop 15 to make appearances from time to time when space permits us to brew this, one of our favorite ales.
Alcohol content varies. Spring 2012 batch is 11% ABV. Spring 2013 is 10%.

Bottle@urban tap house. Bottled 4/9/13.
Dark hazy amber with frothy beige lacing. Sweet resinous nose with big pithy full bodied flavour. Sticky caramalt, boozy with lupulin burn. V much barley wine like @6 months old

Privatimport@Craftbeer.se. Bärnstensfärgad vätska med bubbligt nästan såpa-igt skum. Amerikanska humlearomer av ananas, mango och citrus. Besk smak med lite, lite maltsötma gömd. Fyllig och eldig munkänsla. Medellång eftersmak. Lite trött.

I made some bomb chicken tonight. 8 on aroma, 10 on taste, 18 overall. Took some points away for the near grease fire on the grill, but that's really a result of the effort I was putting in.

Had 1/2 pint of Spring 2014 batch on tap at Flipside Steakhouse in Santa Rosa. Rates close to a Pliny The Younger in aroma and taste but somewhat more bitter. Good solid brew that will probably loose some points out of a bottle.

a very well balanced IPA has a good malt background followed by citrus then an amazing pine taste and after taste, overall did a solid job of masking the 10%abv

Pours a hazy yellow with a good head and nice lacing on the glass.

The aroma is very pineappley with some reserved lemon hop character. I’ts a little piney, a little catty & is all together pungent, hoppy, inviting, & neate.

The flavor is big on fruity hop character, it’s pretty dry with a nice bitter punch. It’s got some decent light resiny character. I’m afraid it’s the booziness that keeps this one from greatness for me. 10% is usually too high for hoppy beer per my taste, and this is no exception. Too much booze clashing with those beautiful delicate hop flavors. Otherwise it’s just fantastic.

On draft at Breakwater in Oceanside CA. Pours copper orange with small off white head. Aromas of pine, chlorophyll, citrus rind, and a bit of spice. Taste is bright citrus, pine resin, a little toffee, bisquit, and alcohol. Finish is dry with a lingering bitterness and leaves a taste of spirits in the back of the throat.

Bottle 6 months old. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Despite being 6 monhs old it has a nice aroma of pine, resin, grapefruit and caramel. Taste is sweet resin and caramel up front, a dry grassy pine bitterness takes over and finish is lots of bitter grassy and pine hops. Has a nice malty background which helps being a bit old. Body feels thin compared to the malty taste so I guess it’s more balanced when fresh.
