First brewed in 2002 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the original Pizza Port location in Solana Beach, we searched high and low and combined 15 of our favorite hops which were added every 15 minutes to the boil. Somewhat darker than other Double IPA style beers, our beer oozes the hop goodness of pine needles, freshly squeezed citrus and ground spices which are only moderately tempered by a sweet malt finish. Thankfully, for all of us hopheads, we have decided to brew this beer more than once a year. Look for Hop 15 to make appearances from time to time when space permits us to brew this, one of our favorite ales.
Alcohol content varies. Spring 2012 batch is 11% ABV. Spring 2013 is 10%.

Bomber into a glass. Nice gold pour with a thick, creamy white head. Aroma of pine, mango, tropical fruits, and pineapple. Taste is assertively bitter, but balanced with a nice sweetness.Cereal, tropic fruits, more pineapple. Long lasting pine bitterness. Way too easy drinking for the ABV.

10/14/2014. On tap. Light booziness, lots of floral hop aromas, caramel, tropical fruit. A bit oily, yet complex being very hop forward with a long bitter finish.

"NICE...big, thick, resiny pine and grapefruity citrus...more malt balance in the flavor than i though there’d be based on the wonderful juicy hop bomb of a smell. started out a little cold, still had a ton of hop aroma, great flavor, and ok balance...no caronation problems here. Wanted to chew it after smelling. Great hop lovers beer!"

Hipster hop perfection. I can’t do a rumble more than the hops do along the palate. Killer hoppy brew, grass, light oily lupine aroma and flavor. Unreal finish. Off the shelf. Impress anyone bringing thus to the party.

Bottle from City Beer San Fran. Pours a clear bright orange with small white head. Nose is bursting with tropical fruit, mango and pine. Taste follows along the exact same line. Slightly sweet and managed to hide the high ABV pretty well. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured at GABF on of the most impressive IPAs ever. Perfect grass citrus and pine. Smell and equivalent flavors persist throughout beer. Such a great example of an IPA at its finest.

On tap at Chuck’s 85th St. Not much head on the pour, and what there is subsides quickly. Honey colored in the glass. Very clear, with no apparent yeast. Light comes through it easily. Leaves a bit of lace on the sides of the glass with each sip, but not too much. The aroma is of pineapple and other tropical fruits, including dried mango and passion fruit. Strong, bitter hops profile, but not unpleasant at all. Lots of sweet fruits, especially pineapple, very rich and buttery, some biscuit flavor. Starts with the hops, carries through with fruit and finishes with the bread-like character. It has a rather light carbonation, but still carries a full feel to the palate. A long finish.

This is great! Bottle from whole foods del mar. Pours clear orange limited head and almost no lacing. Nose is a pine and grapefruit explosion. Flavours of fresh pine needles, citrus fruit, maybe a touch of garlic. Taste is big bitter and light sweet. Full sticky body with lively carbonation. Awesome beer.
