COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
First brewed in 2002 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the original Pizza Port location in Solana Beach, we searched high and low and combined 15 of our favorite hops which were added every 15 minutes to the boil. Somewhat darker than other Double IPA style beers, our beer oozes the hop goodness of pine needles, freshly squeezed citrus and ground spices which are only moderately tempered by a sweet malt finish. Thankfully, for all of us hopheads, we have decided to brew this beer more than once a year. Look for Hop 15 to make appearances from time to time when space permits us to brew this, one of our favorite ales.
Alcohol content varies. Spring 2012 batch is 11% ABV. Spring 2013 is 10%.

Tasted on 5/12/13 from a capped 650mL bomber bottle purchased at AJ’s Mesa. Pours hazy but bright orange with a very thick white head that slowly recedes to thick and messy lace. The nose is very nice, dominated by pungent, but soft, floral and citrus pith hops with some caramel malt underlying, and just a touch of a tropical fruit aroma. The flavor is a bit more focused on the light bread caramel malt up front, moving to the floral and citrus pith hops and very nice bitterness. The body is full but not cloying with average, and nicely stinging, carbonation, and a long caramel malt and bitter floral hops finish. This is a top class IPA.

650 ml bottle split two ways. Pours light amber with a firm head. Nose has floral notes, green grass, grapefruit and orange. Taste has pine needles, spruce, exotic fruits and some cereal notes. Finishes bitter and quite dry.

Haz y orange color with a two to three finger head. Aroma is pine, citrus and hops. Taste is pine, citrus, hops, caramel with a bitter finish. This would be a great one if the alcohol wasn't present in the end. Other than that a solid beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

66 cl bottle at brewdog bar Gothenburg. Cloudy caramel color. Smells of pine and citrus. Lots of hops. The taste is bitter, caramell and sweet. Amazingly well balanced. This can very well be the best dipa I have tasted.

Bottle. Burnt Orange with a huge fluffy off white head. The aroma is floral hops with peach and candied citrus. The taste adds sweet malt and a spicey bite on the finish. Excellent hop bitterness and flavor. Extremely drinkable for a 10% double ipa with just the right amount of hop resins that build up on the palate. Seriously great brew! Top notch! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

My friend was kind of enough to share with me. He traded some of east coast favs to his west coast cousin. We open this after knee deep hoptologist. Hop 15 is amazing complex but not over bitter. Cloudy and delicious. Top notch wish i had more.

Golden hazy amber with a lasting white head. Beautiful piny hop aromas. An earthy hop start that bitters to a piny finish. Lasts well through the finish.
