First brewed in 2002 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the original Pizza Port location in Solana Beach, we searched high and low and combined 15 of our favorite hops which were added every 15 minutes to the boil. Somewhat darker than other Double IPA style beers, our beer oozes the hop goodness of pine needles, freshly squeezed citrus and ground spices which are only moderately tempered by a sweet malt finish. Thankfully, for all of us hopheads, we have decided to brew this beer more than once a year. Look for Hop 15 to make appearances from time to time when space permits us to brew this, one of our favorite ales.
Alcohol content varies. Spring 2012 batch is 11% ABV. Spring 2013 is 10%.

Medium body with dry slick texture and soft carbonation. Heavy smooth bittersweet citrus flavor with a heavy bittersweet finish of long duration. This is a standout beer.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein leicht trübes dunkel-bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr malzig, hopfig, Karamell, exotische Früchte. Geschmack sehr stark malzig trocken süß, extreme fruchtige herbe.

botlte shared with faroeviking at ørsted, copenhagen. yespr and ungstrup gave me some of this few months ago also at ørsted, but that day i lost my notes. i remembered it being darn good, so i bought it as soon as i saw it in the fridge. cloudy orange, thick light orange head. piny and sweet hops, peach, dryness. very well composed hoppy aroma. hopy, dry, flowery, fruits in the flavor, malty sweetness, a hint of caramel, grapefruit, pine, ends dry and piny, accompanied with malty sweetness. a well balanced and hoppy thing. NICE.

Bottle, bought @ YNWA, Kolding. Pours a nice, hazy orange with a medium, creamy white head. It stays for quite a long time and leaves fine laces on the glass. Great aroma with lots of grapefruity hops, some pine, oranges and grass. But there is a great, soft maltiness to it still, quite bready with notes of caramel. Mouthfeel is lightly creamy with prickly carbonation and great dryness. Truly wonderful, balanced flavours. Lots of grapefruit, very bitter, very dry. Malts is biscuity, bready and has soft caramel. The oranges notes appear as well. Truly a wonderful IIPA.

660ml bottle (ALEhouse, Riga, MelnaZiema2013)
Nice hoppy aroma, but so sweet. At 11%, I’m guessing this is going to be a sweet boozy mess. Ug - I’d forgotten the name... Yuck - in the mouth there’s nothing but an astringent acidic burn. Pretty shit unbalanced boozy hop liquor. Want it out of my mouth. Fuck you, brewer. DP.

On tap @Falling Rock poured a hazy copper with an offwhite head. Aromas of citrus and pine with a hint of carmel hiding in all the hops. Palate was heavy and resiny. Flavors of bitter grapefruit rind, pine and a touch of carmel.
