3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 keanex (830) - Atco, New Jersey, USA - JUN 18, 2013
On tap at Joe Canals West Deptford.
Appearance: Hazy amber body with a creamy light tan rocky head.Aroma: Lots of citrus of grapefruit and orange with light malts and hints of mango.
Taste: The bitterness is strong right away, but it mellows a tad by the finish to reveal sweet orange and sweet malts. Lots of grapefruit and even pine are also noted.
Palate: Medium bodied, a tad oily, with moderate carbonation.
Overall: This is up there with Palate Wrecker and Ruination Anniversary as far as bitterness. I enjoy this, but wouldn’t want much more than a few ounces.
4.4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 maxwelldeux (2368) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - JUN 10, 2013
Bottle pours a rather hazy amber color with very thick off white head. Nose has some very floral hoppy notes with just a hint at some sweet citrus tones to it. Taste is quite bitter with the hoppiness really coming through, though without the sweetness. I quite like it.
4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 dogfishho (510) - Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA - JUN 2, 2013
Looks like it suffers from some weird chill haze, but otherwise it’s tough to knock on this one. Very dense dank hop profile, piney and resinous. On the palate the hops are aggressively bitter but the malts are strong and sweet enough to balance. Really one of the best.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 mathieuc (322) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 2, 2013
Bottle courtesy of joeneugs, thanks a lot Joe! Pours a clear orange with a fluffy white head that stick arounds for the whole duration it seems and leaves some hot lacing patterns. Aroma is nicely hoppy, with citrusy hops taking the lead quickly followed by pine needles and floral hops. Taste is less sweet than I thought it would be, the commercial description is right. Malt take a backseat here, I’d have a hard time describing it. Hops are again overwhelming the flavor profile, with juicy and fruity impressions. Mouthfeel is ok, albeit a bit too much carbonated for my liking. Alcohol is noticeable but never annoying/offputting. A really nice IIPA!
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 crossovert (4772) - Wisconsin, USA - MAY 29, 2013
Looked like a new thing on the shelf. out of the cooler. Date code rubbed off... It is one of the most sediment filled beers i have ever seen along with one of the most carbonated. Nice bitterness but falls flat, no aroma.

An absolute hop bomb. A palate destroyer! I love the power of this DIPA and its amazing complexity.

Pours a hazy amber with a white head. Pine, grapefruit, citrus, bitter hops, resin. This is an intensely flavored DIPA. My only complaint is the amount of sediment. Half inch of sediment on the bottom of my glass.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 VRH (21) - Georgia, USA - MAY 17, 2013
Pours a light copper straw colour with good frothy white head. The aroma has some fruity peach with loads of dank pine, resin, & grapefruit rind, followed by a deliciously oily smooth palate with more pine, resin, white pepper, & lemon zest. The finish is drying with returning hints of peach and delicious lingering grassy hops. This is a wonderfully agressive yet very drinkable DIPA: Outstanding!
