COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s not often that a great summer swell coincides with a full moon, but when they collide, nature affords us a rare opportunity to paddle out long after everyone has called it a day. These moments are a solitary pursuit with empty lineups, but those who carve graceful lines under a full moon understand how things can be dark lonely and rewarding at the same time. So next time you paddle in from an overcrowded beach break, remember that nothing tastes better than a cold beer after a session. We suggest a glass of this smooth roasty black lager for contemplating empty lineups and waves that go on for days. Most likely, you’ll long for epic summer swells under moon lit sessions opening the doors to isolation and empty secret spots of an age trying to pass us by.
Note: Formerly Midnight Sessions Lager.

Bottle... Thinkin’ ‘Bout Thirteen Hours O’ Drinkin’ (tew man wrecking crew)... Pitch black lager with a small, creamy, beige head. Terrific retention. Acrid coffee and cocoa with nutty notes and a whisper of smoke comprise the aroma. Medium to full-bodied with lively carbonation. Tips just slightly onto the bitter side of balance. Moderate acidity. Lengthy, acrid, charcoal finish. Kudos to mgumby10 for sharing the bottle!

from Erzbierschof.ch - black beer under a solid long lasting dark beige foam; nice lacework; very roasted aroma of mocha and ashes; a respectable malt backbone and a fair tart bitterness; very tasty palate; long and dry toasted coffeish aftertaste with more kingering notes of ashes - lot of character

Deep black pour with a thick creamy tan head. Very sticky and inviting. The nose is quite creamy and chocolatey with a touch of soft malted milk character as well. Chewy sweetness along with a touch of almost smoky cocoaish flavour. Soft and earthy with a touch of light lingering cocoa. Clean and quite fresh tasting… this is a damn fine schwarzbier.

22-oz bottle received via trade with FlacoAlto. Pours black with an average, frothy, light brown head, mostly lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (straw, bread, chocolate), light hops (herbs), average yeast (leather) with notes of wood and tar. Full bodied, gritty texture, average carbonation, and a chalky finish. Average duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.

On tap served by Tomme. Apperently this is Serpents Stout runoff mash. Great, easy drinking Dark Lager. Pours with a thick, light brown head covering a very dark brown body. Roasted malt aroma that is a little salty. Taste is coffee and a bit salty but still finishes quite sweet. Slightly fizzy mouthfeel, but still goes down great.
