4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Classic DIPA with a very malty back bone followed by an intense hop hit. The aroma had a bit of lemon along with the pine and citrus. Nice looking amber with a small head. The flavor does not disappoint with a very long lasting after taste.

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Hand bottle off tap by a close friend. Pours clear canary with 1-finger white head. Nose is huge mango, black pepper, hops, pale malt; huge awesome nose in this. The palate is rich, complex, super hoppy; a true hop heads dream, with pale malt to spare, a lot of citrus, mango, peppery, and piney notes, and a full bodied finish. Delicious.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap @ Lost Abbey. Golden yellow with a small white head. Big aroma of citrus, pine, flowers and light caramel. Very bitter brew, this one is all about the hops, very light malt character for balance only. Medium body with average to active carbonation and a long bitter finish. Very nice IPAx2, not for the faint of heart, you better like a bitter brew to enjoy this.

4.1 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: MAY 26, 2012 Full blown so-cal DIPA. Wonderful yet somewhat ordinary for style (from Port brewing). Hard to rate correctly in reference to other Port DIPAs without having had another one recently. A great serving of hops. Just opened a bottle of this (been two 1.5 years since original rating) and the aroma is a perfect 10.

on tap at lost abbey in 2009 and 2010 from a 3-day-old keg. pours a bright, yellow-gold with a thick, creamy, white head and light lacing. aroma is awesome with huge, fresh, soapy hops, pine esters, and big citrus notes of pink grapefruit, tangerine, and orange zest backed by rosy florals, vanilla, and toasted sourdough bread. flavor is fantastic with huge tropical fruit notes of pineapple, tangerine, apricot, and mango with huge, spicy pine esters, with light citrus and smooth toffee malts on the back ened. palate is medium bodied with crisp carbonation and a fresh, bitter finish. overall, and awesome dipa.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft @ Tria Rittenhouse during Philly Beer Week. Pours translucent orange yellow, topped with a medium sized white head. Citrus, particularly grapefruit, dominates the aroma. Quite bitter on the palate; hops are both grapefruity and earthy. Dry, resinous finish.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: MAR 31, 2012 Cask handpull at GBBF 2010. Gold/orange colour with thin bubbly head Quite sharp on the finish. Bit uncultured, almost medicinal herb on the finish. Bit much for me. Unbalanced hop juice. Couldn?t finish it. Re-rate Bottle at Craft Leighton birthday. Really good hoppy fresh harsh bitter finish but good.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
GABF 2010, Very good flavor, bitterness but seems to fall short of a DIPA to me. Needs more hop oomph. In its defense my palate could of been compltetly shot by this point. Solid flavor a great IPA but above average IIPA

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
(pint at Lost Abbey). Pours copper with white head. Aroma is big grapefruit and pine. Taste is sweet and bitter, but nicely balanced. Medium bodied with oily texture. Pleasingly bitter finish. Really nice DIPA. Would be happy if this were available in Phoenix.
