Wow, dare i say this is almost overhopped? Tropical hops and stinging bitterness. Very close to Pliny the Elder or Hop Stoopid. Yeast floaters everywhere, make it somewhat unappealing. All in all, quite a example for a IIPA

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
22oz bottled March 16?, 2011. Pours hazy, cloudy orange/amber with a huge three-finger plus off white head that holds a persistent pillowy cap and leaves globs of sticky lacing. Beautiful.
Aroma is OMG! Gobs of ripe pink grapefruit, tons of pineapple, lemon and orange, lots of citrus, some dankness and cat spray scream Simcoe which I love. Incredible strength. Fantastic.
Flavor is almost like eating a fresh pink grapefruit, delicious, tons of citrus and I mean tons, pineapple, orange, lemon, tropical fruits, also a lot of dank resinous hops, even some pine, runs the gamut on hop flavors, minimal caramel/bready malt balance, the hops really shine here. Also intense bitterness & well masked alcohol. My kind of DIPA, low malt, low ABV (for the style), all hops. ::nomnomnom:: Absolutely fantastic.
Mouthfeel is medium, a touch sticky, medium to high carbonation.
I’ve been anticipating this beer for a while now and it was worth every second of the wait. I think I may have just found my new favorite DIPA as it fits my tastes PERFECTLY. I don’t normally buy many bombers but will make an exception for Mr. Mongo here. Oh, and I’m a cat person too, so extra bonus points there. :)

Thanks to breaks808 for this one in trade. Pours hazy yellow with a white head. Nose is malt, light citrus, pine, and sap; light on malt, but big on hops. Holy West Coast IPA, Batman! Flavor is weak malt with a hint of citrus, pine, and sap. Light-bodied and ok overall; I am not a fan of the lightly malted IPA, but this one has some redeeming qualities.

Bomber brought to a group tasting event. Poured a murky, orange/amber, with an abundant amount of billowy, off white head foam, and thick, clingy configurations of lacing. The aroma was a blast of resiny, catty hop, with a variety of citrus to follow along. The flavor offered hefty, but smooth malt to slightly corral the already boasting, and lingering hop bitterness. Adding diversion with some pleasant, malt sweetness, this brew finished assertively bitter and dry.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Lightly hazy amber, some light sediment(though loads of sediment left in the bottle, i was careful with the pour) big fluffy rocky white head, excellent retention crazy lacing... Tons of tropical fruits, papaya, lots of citrusy hops... Smells better than it tastes, more pine than expected, some citrus notes, very very dry finish... Not carbonated enough... Nice balance, good, not great...

Bomber from Julio’s.
Appearance : Slightly hazy amber with a creamy fluffy white head. Lots of lacing, long head retention.
Aroma : Great floral and leafy hops. Nice malt. Light spices and light alcohol. Great passion fruits.
Taste : Great malt with nice floral and leafy hops. Finish quite bitter and very hoppy.
Overall : Very nice stuff. Great hops, great malt. A little bit too warm on the finish maybe.

Many thanks to Armin for bringing the bomber! Poured fairly clear medium golden with a well-retained, fluffy whitish head. The aroma picked up juicy mango, pine, and earthy hops over soft bready malts.. perfect balance. The flavor found bready and exotic fruity sweetness at the core, with quite bitter pine, mango, and pineappley bitterness around.. spicy and well-balanced.. long, warm, bitter finish. Medium-bodied with moderate-plus carbonation.. a touch grainy.. overall a fantastic beer!

22 oz bottle courtesy of Snojerk321. Color is a murky orange with fluffy off-white head. Aroma of big citrus - orange, pineapple, and grapefruit. Also sweet caramel malt. Taste is moderately sweet and bitter. Mouthfeel is smooth with mild carbonation, very drinkable. Pretty good DIPA!

22 ounce bottle thanks to Joe. Pours a cloudy orange color with a huge white head. A nice aggressive IIPA nose; sweet pine and massive fruity tropical notes. The flavor is a well balanced fairly dry fruity IIPA; some pine, bitterness in the finish, pineapple, oranges, sweet and very drinkable.
