Only real negative was the lack of a nose. Otherwise a very good beer. Very good amounts of grapefruit, orange and pine. Very attractive looking beer and great head with this. Extremely well hidden ABV.

650 ml bottle. Bottles on 3/30/2011. Pours a hazy golden amber with a three finger white head that lasts forever and leaves a lot of lacing on the glass. A bit of sediment even with a careful pour. The bottom of the bottle has about an inch of sludge. The aroma is big pine hops with some orange and a bit of grapefruit as well. There is also a strong breadiness present. The initial taste is relatively sweet with the pine coming through first. There is a also some citrus as well as the same breadiness present in the nose. A little bit of caramel as well. Finish has a pretty strong bitterness. Medium-full body. Medium carbonation.

On tap. Golden amber pour with small white head. Aroma of pine, citrus and hops. Flavour of grapefuit, pine and bitter hop finish that was just right. Good beer.

22oz from bevMo in SLO during my sister’s wedding weekend. As an East Coaster, it blew my mind to see all the Port Brewing, Lost Abbey, et al on the shelves! Pours a hazy amber. Creamy looking head. Sharp grapefruit pine and some toffee-like scent. Crisp and dry. Not as sweet as other IPAs or IIPAs. Finsishes dry with a slight funkiness. I like it but would probably go for others in this style.

Bottle. Golden coloured. Hazy. Creamy beige head. Aroma of pine, citrus, flowers, light caramel and spice. Flavour is very grapy and citric. Loads of pine, herbs and flowers. Some vague sweetness to counter the hoppiness. Medium to full bodied. Has a grapy and dry herbal bitterness in the end. Mongo must have been an awesome cat. This beer definately are.

22 oz. bottle from Plaza Liquors - Pours a hazy golden color with a one finger thick off white head. Nice lacing. Aroma and flavor is pungent pine and resin hops with a touch of lightly sweetened toasted malt in the finish. Medium body. Has a touch of astringency. Quite bitter. A good beer.

Bottle… Cloudy golden ale with a small, creamy, white head. Fantastic retention eventually leaves spotty lacework behind. The aroma is a mélange of musky, grapefruity and mildly piney hops. Medium to full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and tickling carbonation. Intense, acutely bitter flavor – it’s all about tannic citrus fruit rinds. Finishes bitter, a touch astringent and dry. Bottle courtesy of darkguardian!

Bottle 65 cl. Pours a cloudy opaque orangey golden with a dense off-white head. Distinct peachy hop aroma - wauw, this is serious. Medium body, a light fruity sweetness quickly relieved by a heavy and astringent hop finish that really dries out my mouth. A little too brutal and one-dimensional. 120511
