Bottle. Dark golden, hazy body, with a massive, creamy, rocky, white head, that leaves a thick lacing. Lovely aroma of citrus, peach, passion fruit, pine, candy. Taste is dry, bitter, with about the same aromas and also a bice biscuit malt backbone. Mouthfeel is medium, slick, with a medium carbonation and it finishes bitter, dry, with lemon zest, pine, some grass and slightly alcohol warming. Tasty! The dryness is really nice, almost like a Belgian strong ale. Otherwise with lovely fruit notes and a solid, but not too full malt backbone, so that it is easy to drink.

Cloudy orange-yellow with a huge, velvety head that forms deep valleys and crags before smoothing out. Smell is caramel, citrus, deep toasted notes, some dark fruit. Taste is dry straw/grass moving into tangy sweet citrus. Hint of chalk. Long bitter finish. A good IPA with an understated malt profile.

Picked up a growler of this one for a party on the 4th of July.

A - Pours out hazy light amber orange with a thick, frothy, two finger tall head leaving thick rings of lace down the glass.

S - Smells of dense pine forest, citric hops, a bit of citric fruit, caramel malt, and some light booze.

T - Starts off with a nice light citric hop bite quickly giving way to a mix of pine, grapefruit, and chewy sweet caramel malt. A touch of booze creeps in toward the end but otherwise is undetectable. The finish is a mix of sweetness and light hop bitterness, lingering for a short time.

M - Medium body and flavor with moderate carbonation. Plenty of hop resin in the feel, lingering through the finish.

O - I drank half the growler in no time flat. I was drinking it so fast I had to slow it down a bit or I wasn’t gonna be able to make it home. The flavors were all there and it was easy going down. Still one of my favorites.

Draft pour at Toronado. Pours orange with a thin disappearing white head. Piney hop aroma. Slightly bitter, yet smooth hop flavor with some citrus. Easy drinking double. Good beer here.

Served in shaker. Pours with thick white head, color is deep orange, hazy however. Aroma is nearly perfect, mostly tropical, lots of melon, some passion fruit, mango. There is really a rich mix in that one and its quite intense. Taste is more malty in the beginning, but pine hops quickly emerge at a palate, however, theyre not overwhelming at all. Its extremely well balanced IIPA for me, well-bodied, finish is very solid, but alcoholic to some extent, which lowers drinkability, but I probably dont have fresh batch so it may be a reason. Anyway, its a great IIPA, one of the best Ive ever had from this difficult style.
