This beer is probably better than my score but I have trouble with this style of beer. This one is very well done. Not really over-the-top bitterness, probably a lot of late hopping as there was a TON of citrusy/catty hop aroma and flavor. I could not finish a 16 oz serving. Too much of a good thing perhaps.

Tap at brewery. Light copper with white head. Very piney nose. Resin and orange citrus and maybe grapefruit rind. More syrupy than crisp. Decent but have had better in the style.

Hazy gold orange color with a white head. Very hoppy aroma. Medium heavy body. A lot of hops. Some citrus flavor. Too much hops. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nose of grapefruit, floral, and a good deal of danky hops. Pours pale golden with great lace and a frothy lasting head. Grapefruit, dank, floral hops, light apricot notes, peach, lingering light resins. Solid drinkability

Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. Bright golden coloured with an orange blossom and tropical fruit flavour, sweet zesty and pine notes on the creamy finish. Superb, but a bit high ABV for the flavour.

On tap at a6p. Definitely the old school double ipa. Pours a clear orangey copper color. White head. Aroma of light pine and resin. Taste is high high bitterness. Am example of an IPA that can use an update.

ScipioA (376) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - APR 27, 2015
Old school IPA clear copper pour with a tan head. There’s a nice orange/grapefruit citrus aroma carries through to the flavor, but there’s a little too much sweetness and alcohol, like a dry hopped malt liquor. Thick and bubbly mouthfeel.

Again, thanks Glava, Renato, Peh et al.! Poured a dark golden-amber b ody with an off white head. NIce passionfruit/tropical fruit aroma. Fruity, hoppy taste, some pine, this was a bit past its prime, so it fought through heavy maltiness, but it was still ok enough overall. Hope to rerate these fresh one day!
