The murky amber pour was topped with a huge head, and as it rose up rapidly, I ended up spilling this a bit. The head stayed around for a while, looking like beige whipped cream topping the liquid. The smell was quite hoppy, despite being masked by the foam. There were aromas of grapefruit, pine, and hay with every sniff. The taste was very much in line with the West Coast roots of the beer. It was bitter from the start, with a grapefruit pith backbone. There were also notes of pine tar, tangerine, and a hint of pepper. This was a hop-head’s wet dream realized. The finish was mineral laden and drying. The aftertaste lingered on for quite a long time after each sip. The body felt light and lacked the stickiness found in many other DIPAs. If you are craving some piney hops, this is the beer to get.

65.5 cl bottle from vinmonopolet Vika. Pours hazy orange with a huge offwhite creamy head. Nice complex tropical aroma. Flavour ishoppy and fruity with notes of mango, orange, grapefruit. Medium body, heavy bitterness, medium carbonation, long tropical bitter finish. Nice one.

Fajna piana, sporo mocnej, długo pozostającej na podniebieniu, goryczki, zapach żywiczno/cytrusowy.

Drank in tulip poured frombomber. Aroma - very stong citrus/lemon. Not much hops. Appearance - light golden yellow. Lighter than most ipas. Taste - citrusy and pale. Lacking hops. Not very bitter. Palate - very sweet palate. Overall - pretty good but a bit sweet.

Tap at Angels Trumpet bar it looks like they recently had a Port Brewing tap takeover so lots of things to try from them which I am up to the challenge. Awesome smelling DIPA huge juicy hops of tropical fruits. Tastes of pineapple, mango, grapefruit, caramel, resin, and some fresh pine and grass for good measure. Very bitter and dry on finish. delightful.

Aroma: Pine resin and grapefruit. Appearance: Deep gold with large, frothy, white head. Flavor: Huge resiny hop flavor backed by a, somewhat sweet, malt presence. Palate: Medium to full bodied with moderate carbonation and a very long, sticky finish. Overall: Excellent hoppy IPA - would prefer a little more malt complexity.

On tap at Capone's in Norristown, PA. On the heels of tasting Port's amazing Hop 15 and far less delicious Wipeout, I finally had the Mongo, which I've been meaning to try for a while. I didn't really taste anything that set this apart from any other run of the mill IPA. Not very drinkable, no notable aroma...you get the point.

Forgot to put this back when I saw how old it was before checking out at BevMo. Pretty disappointing but understandably so. I’m gonna buy a fresh one sometime and rerate it to be fair.

Bottle from Vvesside. We knew this had probably been at BevMo for a good 5 months, soooo here goes... Aroma was heavy grapefruit, lemon, and slight pineapple. Flavors hit you in the mouth, which spell skunk to me, but hard to say. I'll figure 50-50. Anyway, pretty good beer if you like bitter-forward brews. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

let me preface this by saying you must be a fan of big hopped west coast style DIPAs to appreciate this brew, IMO. having said that this is an outstanding example. pours a haze golden neon orange. excellent thick creamy head that lasts the entire pint. great lacing. very strong hops and fruit on the nose. orange, pineapple and mango come through along with fresh spring grass. delightful. tastes follows through with wonderful multi dimensional hops that lingers nicely. not at all balanced with malt and that’s just how i like them. great job port!

22oz bottle from trade. Pours a cloudy tangerine color with a white head pure as the driven snow. Aromas of really juicy hops, citrus fruits. Unfortunately, the taste does not deliver on the juicy hops but instead focuses on the palate shredding bitterness that will really destroy you for the night. Still, pretty good. A top tier DIPA. Solid, chewy mouthfeel. finishes pretty dry and oh so bitter.

fuck you drowland
