4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours like it says. with a med. brown head. Aroma is light with roasted malts, light coffee scent. Mouth feel is oily, round and slightly thinner than I expected. Licorice, coffee, acidic, some board wood. slight loam. Quite bitter for a wet stout. The finish is a long licorice, slightly chocolate and pleasant.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Surprisingly intense roasted maltiness for ASA, licorice, bit vanilla, choco. After my description, I would say its quite IMPy, but theres quite intense hop character as well.. so let it be ASA.
Sweetish with quite dry finish. Nothing very complex, but highly enjoyable brew

Bottle share at kernel thanks to Leighton for this gem. Aroma is salty, sweet liquorice and choc. Opaque black caramel pour with a light tan head. Flavour is balanced malty sweet chocolate, and light roast. Really good balanced big beer.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark, simple roasted malt, well balanced, solid head. Price performance could be better, but definable worth a try.

Simply a great Ale!! Smooth, dark and serious. Very smooth and not Boozy for 10%ABV. As a strong ale fan, I love this beer. Just sip and savor!

Botella de 65 cl en el lupulo. Un par de veces durante el verano de 2013. Alucinante cerveza. Cuerpo medio con increíble sabor amargo, tostados y quemados muy bien combinados. Muy recomendable repetir.

Funny why this beer is in this category cause to mee it is typical stout or strong porter with roasted backbone and hoppy side effects. Pours opaque black with tan-brown thick top. On nose dominant roasted malts plus some herbal hops touch at the end. Taste is average+ bitter, almost no sweetness to me. Medium to full bodied, dry finish. Casual stout with well hidden degree of alcohol.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bomber into tulip. Darkest brown; thick, poofy mocha head. Smells of dark chocolate, marzipan, leather, metal shavings, cherry and blackberry. Predominant dark ryebread and charred plum flavor… hugely roasty, bitter black malt, plasticy phenols and solventlike alohol. A bit one-dimensional. Where’s the oak? Creamy, sugary palate. Espresso finish. Why isn’t this called imperial stout? Totally off the mark for ASA. In pursuit of a super black, super alcohol beer, some quality was lost.
