Commercial Description:
Definitely not your Dad's Wimpy 30 weight. An enormous & luscious dark ale that's as opaque and dark as the most well used motor oils.

Bottle thanks to miketd. Poured a deep brown color with a thin beige head. Aroma of light chocolate, caramel, and some light fruitiness. Smooth, light chocolate entry with some light fruit throughout (plum and berry) with a lightly bitter, chalky finish with some cocoa powder. Smooth and full on the palate. This was very nice, and better than I expected. Thank you much, Mike!

Pours thick. Nice smoky aroma, the bourbon barrel aging softens the alchohol. Good roasted grains, chocalate almost like a good imp. stout.

A nice ale that is very roasty and burnt. A bit thin tasting to me, but it was nice due to the high alcohol. I kept getting some crisp dark bread flavor.

22oz. bottle. Pours a dark, dark black, very little head. Smells of dark fruit, very strong. Wow, that’s a powerful taste, just coats the tongue with all sorts of flavor, heavy and slightly sweet, I love it.

Bottle. This poured dark black and oily, with a wispy sort of white foam, very, very thin. The nose was strongly related to the barrel it was aged in, along with chocolate, and molasses, and other good things. This things thick, not exactly a summer beer, but thats what air conditioning is for right? Very rich flavor, which followed the nose and maybe added some coffee too. Definitely syrupy, with a light subtle fizz to it. I really liked it, and enjoyed the bitter finish. I could see wanting to lay a bunch of this down, as there was a fairly strong alcohol bite in the finish.

Got this from Boltz7555 a long time ago and just decided to break this out for no good reason. Pours black and thick with a thin tan head and definitely lives up to the motor oil references. Bourbon, roasted grains, chocolate malt, oak and vanilla all come flying out of the aroma. Makes you sit there for a while just trying to see what might be around the corner with this aroma. Chocolate malt, roasted grains, vanilla and bourbon all pop up at some time during tastes. Thick chewy and tasty with a nice roasty grain finish. Nice balance of flavors and worth all of the ratings, very complex and lucious beverage.
