4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
bottle 22oz Ordered of internet. Pours a dark molasses with frothy and creamy smooth head. Aromas of roasted malts, caramel, chocolate, vanilla, smoke, and oak. Flavors chocolate, roasted malts, chicory root, oak, light smoke, caramel, and wood. Alcohol only noticeable through the nose. Medium sweet, lightly smokey, with medium to high bitterness. Was expecting more on the thickness but still well rounded and great. Solid over the top imperial stout (this is no ASA to me).

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle date: unk.
A: Pours a black beer with two fingers of latte head. This falls slowly to a thick quilt of the same. Cobweb lacing. Clarity is irrelevant.
S: Smells like oak, dark chocolates, prunes, molasses, alcohol, hints of licorice. Beyond the alcohol, which seems a bit strong, the beer smells quite sweet.
T: Refer to the smell for the taste, then add some graham and rye bread flavors. The alcohol isn’t as offensive as I had prepared myself for, instead, the malts become spicy in nature and complement the addition of the oak. I gotta say, as it warms the beer seems like it becomes ’hollow’ in the middle, hard to describe, just has a dead spot.
M: Thick. Moderate carb. Sticky and chewy finish. Hardcore.
O: This is pretty good. I can’t say I prefer it to some other oak aged stouts, but it’s nonetheless a nice beer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Surprisingly intense roasted maltiness for ASA, licorice, bit vanilla, choco. After my description, I would say its quite IMPy, but theres quite intense hop character as well.. so let it be ASA.
Sweetish with quite dry finish. Nothing very complex, but highly enjoyable brew

Dark, simple roasted malt, well balanced, solid head. Price performance could be better, but definable worth a try.

Botella de 65 cl en el lupulo. Un par de veces durante el verano de 2013. Alucinante cerveza. Cuerpo medio con increíble sabor amargo, tostados y quemados muy bien combinados. Muy recomendable repetir.
