| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 6, 2010 Pour is deep black with a small tan head and no carbonation. The nose is mainly bourbon whiskey with some oak, vanilla, and fudge. The taste is BIG on boozey whiskey, chocolate, and a hint of vanilla. A really great ASA with a great whiskey flavor, kind of like a less intense Lost Abbey Angels Share. rudolf (1800), Buffalo, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Feb 4, 2010 #1,800. Bottle - big thanks to a previous secret Santa. Pours pitch black with a huge fluffy tan head. Nose is predominantly bourbon - cherry, wood, vanilla. There is some cocoa in there too but it is mostly that overdone barrel aged character that so many ba beers fall victim to. Flavor is bourbon, a bit of cocoa, some tootsie roll, a good amount of vanilla and a bunch of booze. The finish has that milky quality that I often find in BA impy stouts. This is nice, but nowhere near as good as the regular Old Viscosity. OleR (2173), Oslo, Norway
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 3, 2010 Bottle, kindly shared by GrOve. A thin layer of tan bubbles upon an opaque, near black body. Aroma is roasted dark malts, quite rounded, with a pleasant chocolate scent and notes of wood, dried dark fruits and soy sauce. Taste is full malty and chocolatey with hint of beef stock. Quite vinous, or maybe just a boozy and wooden touch from the bourbon barrels. Some roasted notes, some licorice, and a fair amount of earthy bittering hops and dried dark fruits underneath. Thick in the mouth, quite smooth, too. Big alcohol warmth in the finish. Bov (5586), Bienne, Switzerland

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 30, 2010 For some reason I’ve owned about 10 of these and have never drank or rated one. Woops. Rating 900. Black pour with a nice sized tan head. Aroma is of chocolate, caramel, dark fruit, vanilla, and oak. Flavor is heavy oak, vanilla, chocolate, coffee, and just a touch of molasses. Finishes dry with a good bit of carbonation. I’d almost like a touch less carbonation for the style, but still very good. dEnk (181), Den Haag, Netherlands
