Bue en bouteille. Sublime produit ! Couleur noir profond, pas d’effervescence. Explosion d’arômes en bouche, boisés, vanillés... Génial !

Bottle from the Beer Temple, kind of pricey. Poured thick black with decent dark tan head. Bourbon vanilla forward aroma which I like, oak booze choc vanilla. Light carb med bod. Alchy bourbon tinge with vanilla. Aromas better then taste.

Shared 12.7 oz. bottle poured to snifters, showing a black/brown hue, with a frothy, brownish tan head that gradually diminished to a ring & film, and wavy cling to the lacing. The nose was bourbon at the ready, with some roastiness, blanketed by chocolate, and dark fruit as prune & raisin. Full bodied, with notes as the aroma’s, soft carbonation, some silkiness to the mouthfeel, and very warming alcohol.

Bottle. Pours pitch black with a tiny, light brown head. Aroma has heavy bourbon, toffee, slight roast, vanilla. Taste has more roast and a sharper alcohol. Coffee, toffee, bourbon. I don’t get how this is not a stout, but it’s a lovely beer!

One of the world’s best RIS this has it all. Deep dark malt notes, that are a trip, the flavor goes and goes.

375 ml bottle into snifter, vintage 2013A bottling. Pours dense pitch black color with a small fairly dense tan head with poor retention, that reduces to a ring of lacing fairly quickly. Some slight spotty lacing clings on the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of big dark chocolate, cocoa, roasted malt, raisin, prune, caramel, toast, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, oak, and roast/oak earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roasted malt and bourbon barrel notes; with good strength. Taste of big dark chocolate, cocoa, roasted malt, caramel, toast, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, oak, raisin, prune, and roast/oak earthiness. Slight roasted bitterness/spicy alcohol on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, roast, caramel, toast, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, oak, and roast/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity and robustness of dark/roasted malt and bourbon barrel flavors; with an awesome malt/barrel balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light carbonation and fairly full bodied; with a very creamy and lightly slick/chalky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is fairly well hidden with only a small warming present after the finish. Overall this is an awesome barrel aged imperial stout. All around great complexity and balance of dark/roasted malt and bourbon barrel flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.

Bottle, unknown vintage. Delightfully rich bourbon aroma with a hint of chocolate and alcohol. Pours jet, inky black like motor oil with a thin light brown head and not a lot of lacing. Thick, inky mouthfeel with sweet dark fruit and chocolate flavors to start. Then, we get to the wonderful finish with nice bourbon undertones with just a touch of alcohol. The overall flavor of the beer lingers deliciously on the palate. Fantastico!
