Underbart! Tack grabbar!!!

So good! Like Bourbon County crossed with KBS. Bourbon forward with coffee and some chocolate. Nearly if not perfection.

Pours black with a touch of tan head. Crazy good aromas off this. Massive bourbon aromas. Nice vanilla and coconut too. Smells like sweet sex candy. Flavours are quite boozy... bourbon, vanilla, coconut, notes of coffee and dark chocolate. This big boy is a sipper. And a damn good one.

Aged this bottle for 6 months. Fantastic aroma of vanilla, coconut, aged oak and wood; some tropical rum notes on the tail end. Pure black appearance with a half inch brown foam. I’ve been told by friend that this was an intense and alcohol filled beer but, I think it may have mellowed out as it aged. Very smooth flavors of chocolate, molasses, oak, raisins, plums and red wine upfront. Thick maple, brown sugar and pineapple notes on the finish. Overall, very complex and delicious. Alcohol is not noticeable in the slightest. Still not sure if it had mellowed out during the aging process. I’d give this an A+ rating.
EDIT: As I continue to drink, I sense some hot chilli or pepper notes on the back of the palate.

2010 bottle that ive had cellared at 50-54 degrees since purchasing it, opened tonight. Served in a snifter. The cork was very tight in the bottle. Some sediment was visible inside the neck of the bottle where the cork once was. Black pour that creates a beige head when swirled. Aroma of whiskey charred oak. Very pleasing. The taste is similar with lots of coffee, vanilla, and a touch of anise. The whiskey and coffee flavors are very prominent. The coffee essence is outstanding. Not a trace of soy sauce as I had expected. Instead this is a very robust stout that drinks like well aged bourbon with the delightfulness of a premium coffee liqueur. Slick in the mouth but not too thick. So good.

Pours jet black with carmel colored head that doesnt last long. Smells malty, chocolate, dried fruit with a lot of carmel smell to it. Nice boozy notes on the back end of the scent. Super thick mouth feel, tastes chocolate and carmel and booze. Wood and smoke on the back end medium, adds so much complexity. A pleasure to drink!! Amazing brew

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours jet black with a thin tan head. Smells like a barrel of whiskey, with thick notes of sticky malt, hints of espresso, dark chocolate, leather, and tobacco.
Taste is complex. There’s an undergirding of sweetness, but this is a burly bitter brew with hefty boozy overtones.
Medium to full body, lively carbonation, bitter chocolate aftertaste.
Impressive beast. I loved it!
