Thank you After4ever/Tom for this fantastic beer! it’s pitch black with a delicious, creamy and lasting head. The aroma is vinous with notes of oak, vanilla, licorice and coffee. The mouthfeel is oily. The flavour is complex with notes of bourbon cask, vanilla, roasted malt, dark fruit, licorice, coffee, a bit of chocolate, preserved figs, and even if it’s incredibly full-bodied it’s also very smooth and harmonic. It’s really nice indeed!

A: The bottle opened with a slight pop and the pour was lowly carbonated, but did feature some bubbles. The beer itself is viscous and black with a minimal tan colored head. S: The nose is very nice with notes of bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, and coffee. Perhaps a little bit of alcohol heat, but nothing overwhelming. T: The great nose did not quite translate to the flavor. The flavor is very heavy on the bourbon, with the chocolate, coffee, and roasted malt flavors coming through more as the beer warms up. Unfortunately, so does the alcohol. M: The body is full, and the carbonation is sufficient for the style, but could use some more bubbles. D: This beer can be one of my absolute favorites, but this iteration of it is a bit disappointing. The alcohol comes through just a bit too much, unfortunately, but I would still recommend this beer and drink it any time.

Bottle at 4:20. Brown, clearish pour with a slight, tan head. Heavy sweet, malty aroma, soy sauce, cocoa, dark fruits. Flavor isn’t as sweet as I had expected, but still sweet, dark malts, some cocoa, caramel, burnt sugar. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Warm, almost hot finish, dark fruits, dry chocolate, some peat and hoisin. Great beer.

Bottled. Almost black coloured. Fluffy light brown head. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, ripe fruits and some dryness. Flavour is full of chocolate and spice. Bourbon barrel definately notable. Coffee, caramel and a somewhat syrupy touch as well. Medium to full bodied. Dry sweet and spiced finish. Has a light bitter touch and a light alcholbite on palate and lips. ABV almost not notable.
