3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bourbon is crazy in the aroma. The taste is more of the same, with coffee, dark chocolate, dark dried fruit and molasses. ABV is quite obvious and a bit much for me. A decent example of a bourbon barrel aged IS, but not the best I’ve had.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy tan head. Clear aroma of roast and vanilla, with notes of barrel and malt and touches of yeast. Bitter, roasty flavour with notes of vanilla and barrel and touches of yeast and hops and coffee. Roasty and barrellike aftertaste. Good. Damn good, if boozy. Yeah.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
12 oz bottle from Blackwell's, bought online. Drank on Christmas Eve 2014 to get into the spirit! The underlying stout is robust and can stand alone, with flavors of roasted malt, molasses, and chocolate. However, the oak aging on this beer really compliments and accentuates the flavors.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A pitch black, a head is small and brown. Aroma has salt liquirice, riped fruits and raisins, strong notes of bourbon that’s hiding the other nuancees. Taste has salt liquirice, bourbon, raisins and some chocolate. Smooth, almost full bodied, enjoyable. This bourbon barrel aged Santas Little Helper is not even close the marvellous basic version, even this is a good beer, the bourbon is just too dominating.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Silne nuty zapachowe czekolady i wanilii, wyczuwany również bourbon, piana bardzo dobra, smak bardzo głęboki, mocno pobudza kubki smakowe, konsystencja oleju silnikowego. Fantastyczne piwo!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Near black in color with an off-white head. Some vanilla, light wooden notes and bit of bourbon in aroma. You get what you order, good soft mouthfeel though. Some nice combination of malts and ripe plums is there alright. Chocolate and vanilla in taste. Soft barrel vibes too, but has got some nice winter warmer aspects in the end.
