COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Barrel-aged version of Port Brewing Santas Little Helper.
2009 will be the inaugural release of this winter time classic. After brewing the 2008 batch of Santa’s we thought “wonder what this would taste like aged in a bourbon barrel?”

Very dark brown beer, small dark beige head. Roasted malts, vanilla, raisins, ripe fruits and sweet alcohol aroma. A bit flat, low carbonation. Bourbon/vanilla/wood and sweet alcohol. A hint of sweet cherries, licorice. Good one, although I expected a bit more body.

Bottle from Erzbierschof- aged since 2011 in my cellar - Black color with no foam - Aroma of coconuts and brownies, vanilla, bourbon, hints of coffee, roasted malt and soy sauce, incredible nose - Flavor is more chocolate and vanilla, really sweet, oaks and bourbon, good presence of alcohol, dried raisin, amazing - Full body, sweet and silky, flat carbonation, light bitterness, long sweet chocolate vanilla finish - hard to drink becaus it was really sweet, probably a little bit too sweet but incredible beer, the age bring more roundness and rub out the bitterness

Poured from a bomber (unknown when brewed think at least one year old) into a snifter dark opaque with a tan head. Aroma is chocolate slight booze. Flavor is BOOM at the front of the palate with cocoa. Roasted malts with some bourbon. Finish is fast. Not much linger to the palate which can go either way depending on how you like your stouts. For me this particular brew did not disappoint. Very drinkable.

Oh man, what a great beer. Huge stout, lots of carmel and roasted malts. Nice bitterness. Great bourbon and vanilla undertones. Great beer.

’13 bottle in Oct. 14. Boozy hot nose, with some rich standard stout elements. Taste of bourbon, chocolate, vanilla, hot finish. Prefer the regular version and Viscosity over both.

Corked bottle, poured and split. 500th rating so a fun beer seemed necessary, and it did not disappoint. Pours black with a tan head that lasts. Sour cherry and a little vanilla on the aroma, with some chocolate too. Hints to be sour at first in the flavor, then switches to a bold flavor full of vanilla and cocoa goodness. Just a touch of bourbon feel to it in the finish. Super smooth, and not too heavy. Not too surprised, these guys don’t tend to disappoint with anything. Memorable beer for sure. Great stuff.

Shared bottle with a guest @ "Schouskjelleren", Oslo. October 09, 2014. Beer from a tulip glass. Black thick oily look with a creamy brown head and medium carbonation. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, dark sugar, dark chocolate and some spices. A sweet, malty and warming alcohol feeling in my mouth. A nice bittersweet finish.
